The Connels .. Not many people have heard of them because they died in a train accident in the 70's but the few songs I've heard for them were brilliant .

Another band would have to be Nirvana . I feel Kurt Cobain could have given so much more .

Finally , Pink Floyd . I can never get enough of them . Roger waters is a genius . For me they remain the best band in history .

Weird. The only Connells I know of is still around and I saw in small clubs around D.C. and North Carolina in the mid-late 80s.

Having started getting into the blues lately, I gotta say Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac. That man was a genius, he played that guitar on par with just about anybody IMO. Too bad he went, as he says himself, on a 3-day acid-binge and never came back. Only 3 albums from that original Fleetwood Mac line-up, the latter incarnations of the band were something completelly different, and I gotta say they were amazing. From a completelly bluesed out sound on the first album, to a much heavier blues-rock sound in the third album.

I forgot about The Alan Parsons Project.

Underated to death, but brilliant nevertheless.'The Turn Of A Friendly Card' is an eternal classic. The band never made it as big as some other progressive rock acts, but the level of mystique assocaited with their music is something that only Pink Floyd tops for me.Honestly, when you listen to some of their music in a relaxed mood,it takes you into a different mental dimension.I know,it sounds like a lot of psychdelic horseshit, but i think everyone who has heard their stuff would agree.

Ps.Fleetwood Mac is a fantastic band.Im a much bigger fan of the Stevie Nicks era than i am of the Peter Green era.She is one of the best female vocalist/performer ever IMO.I know Janis Joplin and Alanis Morisette fans would disagree here, but Stevie is pure class.

Wasn't Alan Parson's Project active for like 15 years? :D

Bah, that Fleetwood Mac is lolly-pop rock, very commercial stuff, doesn't compair to the early days.

    Another band :

    Van Fucking Halen!!!!

Im not talking about the reunion here.Yes its incredible to have them back, but Van Halen during the original Roth days was brilliant.Fantastic energy..Roth was a freak..and Eddie was:drool:.Ive always disliked Hagar, though i do like a lot of Van Halen's songs from his time with the band, but like they say..there is only ONE Diego..

and there is only ONE Van Halen

    Roth,Eddie,Alex,Michael...

And i think Eddie, and NOT Malmseteen is the true god of Speed.
