Salman did you watch Roger Water's "In the flesh live" ?
Nah i didnt. They showedd a recording of it on television some time back, but i missed it.

Duh..I think I disagree with every word you said there. :D

Pulse for me wins hands down, no questions asked, however you wanna put it. It's probably the best concert experience for me, when all things are considered, effects, stage, performance, etc. Few things come close, Queen at Wembley and Zepp at Royal Albert Hall(such a raw, powerful performance from 1970) first come to mind. But that's a matte of tastes at the end of the day.

As for Pink Floyd in the car...be it with Water, Gilmour, or both of them...that just doesn't work. Pink Floyd is simply not car music for me, when I listen to Floyd I put on my Sennheiser's headphones, lie in my bed, close my eyes and just drift away.
Vlatko we know you're really hip.You dont need to go out of your way to tell us that you own Sennheiser's headphones:D

I agree with you on the mood Pink Floyd set.As ive already mentioned,The Wall live is an exception to it.But almost every other album related to Pink Floyd should be heard either when you're high and you're alone,or when you feel a bit too intellectual and philosophical.I dont really enjoy listening to the band with a crowd either. For me,its a very personal and almost sacred experience. The Great Gig In The Sky is the ultimate hallucination experience for me:D

I actually pondered should I just put "Sennheiser's", but I didn't know are you lot even familiar with the brand so I added "headphones" to be clear. I'm such a snob sometimes. :D

The best Pink Floyd experience is syncing Dark Side Of The Moon with The Wizzard Of Oz, lighting a few joints with a mate or two and going through the whole movie. The Great Gig In The Sky gets a whole new meaning that way, as does Money.

This one is the best.Extended and harder, very unfloyd like versions of Empty Spaces and Young Lust.Check the crowd out during Empty Spaces.

Shall we buy a new guitar
Shall we drive a more powerful car
Shall we work straight through the night
    Shall we get into fights
    Leave the lights on
    Drop bombs
    Do tours of the east
    Contract disease
    Bury bones
    Break up homes
    Send flowers by phone
    Take to drink
    Go to shrinks
    Give up meat
    Rarely sleep
    Keep people as pets
    Train dogs
    Race rats
    Fill the attic with cash
    Bury treasure
    Store up leisure
    But never relax at all
With our backs to the wall
    Where we used to talk?
How shall I fill the final places?
How shall I complete the wall?

    FUCK..this is orgasmic.

yes true but, i really i am dissapointed with their new stuff i really prefer deloused in the comatorium, there new stuff is completely different
Yeah their new stuff is different, it just takes a while to get into it.

The Mars Volta is pretty neat.I first heard televators by them, and i thought it was great.I have two albums by them(Frances The Mute and The Comatorium) but somehow ive never heard either of them.
Check them out, both awesome albums.

They're already about as big as an experimental rock band can get. Their music isn't accessible enough to make into the hit charts, but I'm pretty sure they're earning a lot of money.

The pistols did cause quiet a stir with God Save The Queen. And i always hated The Ramones.I could never get over the fact that Joey Ramone looked like Cher.
the pistols were a great marketting campaign but not areal band.

the ramones were punk personified, 3-cord players with a raw,unrefined,garage-y sound sure joey ramone may have looked like cher but "blitzkreig bop" was one of the best punk songs ever made
