the answer to that is neither...

we havent used nukes, nor have we ever threatened to wipe out a country like Iran has, nor have we threatened to use a nuclear bomb to get our enemy to the bargaining table like North Korea has..

but thats ok, right Rami ??

it only counts if the USA does it :rolleyes2
yes you havent.you've only kindly told a country that if it doesnt co-operate with you in the fight against al qaeda, you'd bomb it back to the stone age.but then again,im sure this was just a dinner time joke that Richard Armitage cracked.

What "approach" are you talking about?

My approach is no weapons no matter what kind they are should ever exist, if you don't agree with that then I feel sad for you and whoever agrees with you.
    unfortunately, they do...

I'd be damned if I am not trying to make a change, I know I am getting nowhere but at least I am trying.

Let us assume you were not a cop, would you bring a weapon to your home for "protection"?

I'm sure our parents and their parents were of a similar opinion...sure our world leaves alot to be desired but surely our parents lived in a world safer than their parents, and ours safer than theirs. That really is beyond debate IMO.

How? Because we have more advanced weapons to "protect" ourselves now?

Actually I think it is very debatable...especially that crime rates are increasing in many parts of the world...but again maybe its just positively correlated with population...

    But IT IS debatable!

Who cares about the world? as long as I get what I want
I know that ever since kindergarten people tell you that that kind of thinking is egocentric. They also act as if your personal wants and needs aren't related to the world as a whole. They would state that a person who says this, doesn't care about anything else than himself.

Wake up, that's bullshit. Everyone is egocentric for the simple fact they're being themselves. If you do stuff to help stop poverty you're doing it because YOU want no more poverty and because YOU feel good doing so. On the same note you should care about the world, because if it changes you might not get what you want anymore. You have to care about the world in your own best interest.

So don't try to be a bad boy by claiming you don't care. All that proves is that you're a simple minded neurotic fool.

The moment you bring a gun home, you are bringing danger with it rather than protecting yourself.
really ?? I have done this for 10 years without incident...and I follow every safety rule in the book.

No offense Jack, but if you dont trust yourself with a gun in your home, or feel you cant be trusted with one, then dont take it out on the people who can be trusted

And I feel I am protecting my family from danger by having one in my home...you never heard of people breaking into peoples homes to rob them ??

Maybe that doesnt happen in Sweden, but it happens here pretty frequently...I actually had my home broken into in 1998, and lucky for them I was out of town...because had I been home, then you could just imagine what would have happened to them

Then you should know that weapons won't make it any safer.

Vin, without talking specifically about you statistics show that having guns in your house isn't anywhere close to making your environment safer. Perhaps you're one of the few that is able to wield a gun, and I do hope you are since you're a cop, but all in all I don't believe citizens should be allowed to have guns.
