If the penalty remains and we are deducted 30points and in serie B, just wondering how many matches are played in serieB, and how many points the top sides of serieB usually finish on...
Im trying to see if coming back from 30points and being promoted is a realistic possiblity?

In a serie b season there is 126 points up for grabs last seasons winner as written above finished with 81!its very possible for us to win it once we dont lose more then 5 games, but realistically finishing second, third or at least getting a play off place is well within reach!

The only problem it may cause is affecting the morale of the players coz its going to seem like an up hill climb for most of the season!

30 points deduction means 10 games lost.

If you look at the table, Atalanta (the first one) lost 9 games and tied 9. So if we get to win all the matches or at least not to loose any match its not as difficult as I thought.

ya i think we can come back from it.......if we win every game we can get 96 points after all the deductions....... and remember all we have to do is come in 3rd

if you think about it we can lose and tie a couple of matches, almost like 5 and thats all we can afford.....

how does the serie B system work?the top 4 advancing?or the top 2 advancing and the next 4 playing a playoff?

if it works in a playoff system, then i think we do have hope of atleast reaching the top 6.but the thing is that we also have lazio and fiorentina in serie B.so its going to a more 'evenly' faught serie B amongst the 3 teams than people expect.

and off topic,i dont think we'll win the italian cup the coming season.unless,we get a remarkably lucky draw.

The top two teams receive automatic qualification and the next four enter a play-off!its exactly the same as the english championship method!

Its not that easy guys, just because in serie A we only lost once and tied a few doesn't mean in serie b will be a sinch..

1.Juve will be the resented team, All teams will play 150% against us.
2.Don't forget the likes of Fiorentina and Lazio are also relegated, they are tough sides especially Fiorentina
3.Juve won't have the same players. And the lack of intensity and enthusiasm in Serie B might not bring out the best in our players.

i might be a bit nigative ... but if the -30 stand we should try for the fourth place and concentrate on the coppa italia.

sure it might not me as important but there are at least two erasons to concentrate on it:
1- if we could win it we will be in UEFA cup the year after
2- if not at least the team can face real challange that can bring up the players ability and the knock out experience

remember we have a completly new team and coach plus the team spirit will be down after the demotion but if we were known about anything it that we can pull off anything as long as we are determand to do it

forza juve

I was completely shocked when I was coming home from the cinema and my brother sent me an sms desceribing the penalty. But since there is 42 matches, I think we have a very good chance of getting back up next year.
Forza Juventus!

Anybody who thinks a penalty of -30 would be easy to overcome, IMO, isn't being realistic and is doomed to massive disappointment. I have a feeling that until the first time this squad loses deservedly to a Mantova, people aren't going to realize this fact.

yeah, 30 points is too nasty....

Im crossing fingers for the appeal to be succesfull and at leats get 15 points.....

I think it will be tuff but we will have good young players too, and a good coah in deschamps...

who knows maybe this young guys will carry the weight on theiur shoulders.

Indeed, we'e going to struggle with this handicap. If the 30 point deduction stays, the first season is rather about surviving than about a battle for promotion.
