I might be, but look at it this way.
Last year we were after him and we were ready to pay around 16m eur. Liverpool wanted to buy Barry and sell Xabi. Liverpool were asking 20m which, if you remember, for everyone here, including Aaron, was way too much. I remember Aaron saying many times that Liverpool were greedy.

So last year, something between 16-18m eur for Xabi Alonso, who was a very good player, winner of CL and EURO, was considered a fair price. And i think it was indeed a fair price.

This year Xabi had a very good season. He had indeed. He is 28 now.
I'm not saying that he's old, because he certainly isn't, but i do think that it was the best from him. He was in perfect age to give his best. I don't think he can do better. The most he can give are equally good performances for a season or maybe two, and then it's gonna be downhill for him.

I wanna say that i think that something between 16-18, i'll give it even 20m, is a fair price for him.

Now Poulsen and Trezeguet. Many don't rate Poulsen but i rate him high. We paid 9.75m eur for him and that was a fair price. That should still be a fair price for him.
For Trez 99% of us last year thought that the 20m eur offered by Barcelona isn't enough. Now that he spent more than half a season injured we don't rate him at all.
I still believe that Trez is worth at least 9-10m.

So by MY calculations, Poulsen for ~9m and Trez for 9-10m equals the fair price for Xabi Alonso.
Of course, Pool don't need any of Poulsen or Trez so it's useless discussing this. I was talking theory here.
I never thought Liverpool were greedy asking for 20m... You can easily call Udinese greedy for their demand but not Liverpool.

Liverpool can utilize Trezeguet and Poulsen is a good squad player for any team, still I think Rafa won't be interested in such offer.

If you thought they were being greedy last year. Well this year they're asking for 35M Euro's :p

But i actually agree with you. Even though i rate Alonso, i think it would be excessive giving them both Poulsen and Trez and money on top of that. I still think Trez has another year or two in him tbh.

How can anyone other than a mentally enfeebled mong fail to realize they are being hammered from behind by malicious men?

We are not after Alonso, which is a shame. And I doubt D'agostino would go to Liverpool. It has taken him a while to fulfil his potential. Moving countries, to a completely different league, could well jeopardize his Form and ability to play to his full potential.

Felipe Melo "happy" to join Juve @C4

Felipe Melo “would be happy” to join Juventus if they reached an agreement with Fiorentina, declared the Brazilian’s representative.

There are reports that the Bianconeri will turn to Melo if their bid for Udinese midfielder Gaetano D’Agostino is rejected.

“Felipe is in love with Florence and its fans, but evidently the interest from a prestigious club like Juventus, who are battling for the Scudetto and Champions League, cannot leave him indifferent,” confessed Umberto Fusco.

“If the Bianconeri directors reach an agreement with Fiorentina, then he would be happy.”

The Brazilian’s price-tag has risen following his performances for the Selecao in the Confederations Cup.

Newspapers suggest he is now worth around £20m, but the cash sum can be reduced significantly if Juventus add players in a swap deal.

The Viola are already interested in winger Marco Marchionni, while forward Michele Paolucci is another option
