Commentator on Demiral: "My man Demiral, is there anything else coming but an absolute blast and if he could, he would probably tackle it in as well" and then laughing after it.

Looked better in the second
We need more time and everyone to come back before we can work this puzzle out

Matuidi doesn't fit, Mandzukic as well
Both should go

Demiral looks great, De Ligt is quality and you can tell already
Demiral shouldn't go anywhere
Rabiot and Pjanic can easily swap positions during the match which is great

I never trusted lefties in pens. I remember Maldini in Euro 2000 missed one as well. The only lefties i trust taking pens are Dybala and Messi.

P.S. Vidal is one of the best penalty takers. That mofo gives 0 chance to keeper.

The game was terrible. But Demiral for me was the standout - I have a good feeling about that guy even though it was just a meaningless friendly. I can imagine him and De Ligt being our future pairing in defence.

Great write-up. Echoes my thoughts exactly. To add a bit more, Rugani and Bonucci should fear their places in the defense in the near future.

We trying to dictate our game style for first time. These things require time and passion.

Even Pep with so many players took him 1 year to implement his style on Man city
What the fuck are you talking about. You’re so clueless when it comes to football.

I stand corrected when it comes to Sarri. I thought it would be entertaining and fruitless.

Both Conte and Allegri played “entertaining” football when they arrived here, but the pressure is huge. I don’t even think we’ll see any entertaining football from Sarri and 4 month into the season the management will see how big of a mistake is was to hire him.

Just watched our game after getting home.

Inters Conte very solid and organised defensively. Very safe set up. Not surprising his coaching style is quick to adapt for new team, they were pressuring like mad and exploiting our gaps. Thankfully toothless attack.

In contrast Sarris style seems to be very hard to adapt to early on, unsurprisingly, risky style with the intricate short passing that have them sloppy so far, and it's an approach that leaves the midfield exposed alot to counter if you miss a pass. And they miss plenty of passes because Inter pressured high up giving them zero time to build up AND our players were allways trying to one or two touch quick pass immediately like they had open options, when they didnt.

Especially the holding DM/Pjanic having to defend solo vs couple countering players, because the other CMs are too far away if they escape or by pass their pressure. And the defense sits too deep so its like a no mans land to run freely into. Was even bigger headache vs Spurs because their attack was much better.

Our attack is bit out of sink too. And they attack too centrally with the short passing. Sarri seems to be against ever using the width of the full backs to create chances when opposition bunkers up in middle.

Hopefully it will be much better over time naturally. And the quickness of Costa outwide over the slow slowish Berna will be much better to open up opportunities, and Dybala as false 9 CF will be even more dangerous when he get to stay so close to the attacking phase and have so many short passing options to feed off.

Too often we worked with Higuain by him dropping closer to the midfield to receive the ball at his feet for a quick lay off to a player making a quick run. Higuain has always done that well, and this allows the other two attackers or a single CM making a run into space to receive a quick 1-2 play. (i.e. Look at the one time where Higuain did this with Bernie and Bernie popped a hard left foot shot). Higuain also has been linking well with Ronaldo.

I'm telling you guys, Higuain knows what Sarri wants and he is comfortable receiving the ball at his feet with a defender on his back. Dybala isn't and takes too long to control a ball unless he one times it back to someone. I really think if Higain stays he is going to be the gel that gets the 3 up front clicking and allowing Ronaldo to roam.

Call me crazy. If Higuain stays, my bet is he benches Dybala. Some here will take this as me digging at Dybala but the fact is, Higuain knows Sarriball ball better than every single player on this team. Dybala has his work cut out, big time especially as Sarri said he sees him as a CF now. Bad news for Kean & Mario, they are likely outta here.

Pay attention next time to how we push the ball to Higuains feet for a quick 1-2 movement.
