well, I am not sure if it really Trez who is not on form... He simply does not get many balls..
That's how I saw it too. We haven't been getting him his touches much lately, so he unfortunately hasn't had much to work with. This is where the likes of Zambro, Camo, and Mutu really help indirectly.

That's because Zlatan "Black Hole" Ibrahimovic sucks them all and manages to lose them.

Against Bremen we needs to make the most of our chances, we should have players with good eye on goal, not to mention wise decision making and tempo control...

An injured Zlata is certinaly a huge boost for what I've mentioned above...

zlatan is a crucial part of the team. trezegol has alot of his goals due to zlatan passes and plays. the reason ibra isn't scoring this season is because he isn't taking enough touches. last yr he would dribble with the ball alot more, creating chances for himself, and as a result scored 16.

this bs about zlatan being a bench player is ridicolous, capello places a huge strategic importance on him, and tbh, capello's reasons are more sound that some disgruntled fans.

And do ya think the 476389 'wasted' One-On-One situations with GKs isn't enough touches for ZlaGOAL ???

What are you talking about? When Zlatan is playing, the team strategy is to give the ball to Zlatan. Even Buffon is given instructions to give the ball to Zlatan. Many times the midfielders don't touch the ball at all. All balls are lifted in the air to reach Zlatan. Now talking about how many of these balls that actually reach him are converted into something useful is a different story we don't want to discuss.

giving the ball to zlatan, and allowing to have multiple touches r 2 different things. he either feeds the ball to trezeogol or gives it back to the mid, he doesn't take on defenders as much as he did last yr (which is the yr he scored 16). what i meant by touches was dribbling, which is his main strength, he should play to that strength, not ignore it.

as for his finishing, it is trash this year, and at times, its as if he is chooses which goals he wants to score. he will score an amazing goal like he did vs roma, and than miss a friggen breakaway against werder lol.

his role this yr is obviously alot different, but he is 1 part, of many, for our domestic success, that is y capello places such heavy importance on him.we are winning with him in the starting 11, if it aint broke dont fix it.
