I would absolutely love if Zebina was given to the Spurs with a bunch of cash for Michael Carrick, as he is very underrated and would easily add some sense to our midfield. I know this is rather unlikely, however it's still pretty to look at. I think it's time we change our transfer policy and actually take some chances on younger starlets for a change.

Buffon

Oddo - Gallas - Cannavaro - Zambrotta

Vieira - Carrick - Sneijder

Joaquin - Trezeguet - Mutu
That right there is a sick looking team. If you check my favourite players list in my profile you'll see that Michael Carrick is there. He's an awesome distributor of the ball and I'd love to have him at Juve. Tottenham are my favourite team in the Premiership and mainly because of this lad. His passing ability is amazing but unfortunately I don't see us signing him. I don't think he'd really want to come to Turin either.

Carrick is easily my favorite English player and I concur that Juventus will not be buying him any time soon. If I was a young starlet looking for a new club and not a Juventino, I would stay away from Capello's Juventus like it was friggin Chernobyl.

Sven would be an idiot if he does not include Carrick in the trip to Germany. As I said earlier, I would find a way to fit him in the starting XI without question. What England needs is somebody who can provide stability in the midfield and top-notch passes and posession, and Carrick does this better than anybody else England has at their disposal. If that means dropping either Gerrard or Lampard then so be it...they seemingly can't play together anyway..

Sven would rather play Ledley King in midfield though :wallbang:

TBH, I'm not sure of playing Joaquin there, he's kinda slow for a player in his position, you really do need fast legs. Anyhow not a bad formation at all...Defenders...Solid and thats what I've been asking for...(Oddo,Gallas/Chivu). Midfielders...Also solid but not sure of having Carrick instead of Emerson, though Carrick is having fantastic season and no one can deny that. As I said not a bad formation at all, looks pretty solid and attacking one.

Though mine would look like this....

- - - - - - - - - Buffon- - - - - - - - - -

Oddo - Gallas - Cannavaro - Zambrotta

- - - - - - - - - Emerson- - - - - - - - - - -

Marchionni- - - - - - - - - - - Rossi

- - - - - - - - - Rosicky- - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - -Trezegut - Del Piero

Rossi..from Roma, that players is fabolous, you can put him in any position in midfield and he can just play. Player that suits the likes of Juve{Runs alot, can attack and defend in the same time, and can combine well with the likes of Ale...thats atleast what we saw with the Azzurri recently}

Rosicky..Playmaker like Rosicky with his deadly passing and good shooting not to forget how much he can help and make Dp's and Trezg's job easier.

forget emerson, your saying joaquin is not fast, well emerson is like a old man, and well if we look age, then better put De Rossi to his place and get someone who plays more on the wing(de rossi is a deep midfielder, he runs around but not on the wings), like sneijder and put derossi to emerson place :D we need younger players and de rossi is italian as well

who on the right mind would sell zlatan...yes he might not be playing well
but lets not do the mistake we did in the past.... for example:

-when we sold henry to arsenal (this must be in every1s list)
-when we sold sorin to river plate
-what we did to our poor marseca
-what we did to our poor tudor
-and the list goes on

his dip in form is temporary..but his talent is permanent.......and that
what seems most of the guys are forgetting....

To be honest, that's a very average looking midfield there. Vieira, who has been poor most of the season. Why Vieira anyway, when Emerson is much better?Carrick? Has shown some nice moves this, but too unproven for such a vitale midfield role. Sneijder?? The guy's quality is that he is two-footed, that's about it. He's way overrated, due to scoring a couple of screamers in the past. He isn't anything special though, physically very weak, his passing is sloppy and besides that he's really a whiney character. Mr. Gol will confirm that Sneijder isn't anything special (hopefully..). Your midfield would be anything but an improvement over our current midfield. Camoranesi, Emerson, Nedved etc. over Vieira, Sneijder and Carrick - Hell yeah!

Sneijder? Well this guy may know free kicks and passing and stuff, but he is physically weak. All it takes is just a speedy + strong guy to take him down.

Carrick is great ... he is got a very classy sense of passing, however i dont see him coming over to Juve..... I dont know why Moggi is always keen on buying players from all around europa, and not so keen when it comes to english players. ... 2 years ago i hoped Juve would buy Bellamy from Newcastle and Joe Cole form Chelsea ... but non of that happened, ......and i cant see Carrick coming either

But he said that the position of Joaqin needs speed, whereas where he placed Emerson, speed is not that crucial.

Buffon

Zambrotta - Cannavaro - Gallas - Pasqual

Joaquín - Vieira - Emerson - Marchionni

I could see something like this next season. It would give us excellent and creative wings to compensate for the more destructive CMs.
