There was a suggestion from Ian that might interest you. Since the forum is shaky lately and we don't quite know when it works and when it doesn't, Ian has opened his own forum for the time being. I think that could be an ok alternative for us in these troubled times...

Holland in Dutch is still Holland - Hollandia was the name of one of our greatest vessels in the golden age, like the Batavia (perhaps you've heard of it).

Batavia is the old name of Jakarta. That's what I learned from elementary school :)

Nah, it's good enough for me that Brooklyn, Manhattan, Harlem and other neighbourhood names all refer to Dutch cities

Oh who am I kidding...? New Amsterdam would be SO cool! :D
