Well, I for one was ecstatic about his loan, especially with all the playing time he was getting. You guys were right, loans are great because something so detrimental to a players development is injury. You can't get injured when you never play. Send them all out on loan.
We should really question not the loan and Bari "neglecting" him, but also whats wrong with Iago that not only was he deemed worthy to be in the stands for the A team, but not even play for their primavera. Unless one childishly assumes its out of malice (too easy to scapegoat), at the end, it clearly doesnt bode well in terms of how high his qualities is valued by those who he trained for (would say played, but never did).
Osman's post thoroughly demonstrates the problem with loans. He's using the opinion of folks who have no stake in the player whatsoever to evaluate his future. The coaches at Bari know they are going to lose the player either way, whether he plays well or not, so there's a sort of moral hazard here where the player's best interest is not respected.

He didn't play for half a year, yet landed straight on the squadlist for the Chievo game. I don't think his non-playing at Bari is a very good reflection of what the boy can do.
And yes, we have alot of injuries, but surely there are other players who played the whole year in our Primavera who could've made it before Iago, if he weren't good enough.

It honestly makes sense when a club knows they will lose the player either way back to his homeclub. That is why so many are trying to milk us for these co-loans and we both know how those turn out.

Gio never plays with us, regardless of his time at Empoli so point being all his time spent on loan makes no sense whatsoever.
Marchsio maybe but a heavy reluctance to agree with him because he was thrown into the mix by Ranieri due to injury in our midfield area.
Ariaudo will only be used as a bargaining chip.
Lanza doesn't want to come back.
Paolucci did hardly anything while away.
Ekdal is going to be pawned off in another deal for some player.
De Ceglie's experience at Siena was useless, he does nothing for us anyways. Only plays because of injuries.
