I 've got a virus and i can't get rid of it (1 Viewer)

You can all see the virus. How do i get rid of it? I can't delete it, i can't see the properties, norton anti - virus doesn't pick it up. I think my lil bro has something to do with it - aswell as kazaa, since he was the only one home at that time. I'm obviously not going to open it, i hope he hasn't yet.

Please could someone tell me what to do

Try deleting it from the command line.

I have never seen a virus disguised under the .bmp file extension. Why can't you delete?

since that was in the shared folder and the shared folder was in teh kazaa lite folder i just deleted the kazaa lite folder and luckily the virus went with it. When i reinstalled kazaa, the shared folder has dissapeared. kazaa is giving me too much trouble.

dajuve, when i clicked delete, it was as if i wasn't clicking anything.

Command line is what existed before Windows, you know typing in commands.

Greg, my suggestion was you could try and delete it from the command prompt (=ms dos prompt) instead.
