On what basis can I say that Inter really deserved the 2006 scudetto title? Honestly, Juventus were the one who won it on pitch, anyone who followed the Calcio can say with his eyes closed that Juventus had a far superior squad to Inter's one. They weren't even the runner-up, they were third after Juve and Milan. And for the match fixation, me thinks that no one can say that Juventus beat the medicore and average teams of Serie A just because each team of these team miss one player, who isn't by any mean a star player in his team, when they faced Juve. And if such players were suspended before their matches against Juve, anyone can return to the matches to judge whether these players need to be booked or got sent-off or not.
As for the 2007 scudetto title, I laugh my head off every time it is mentioned, actually. Two of the most important and prestigious clubs, not only in Italy but in the whole world, missed that season's competition, they're Juventus and Milan. The former for its unfair demotion to a Serie B and the latter for the 8 points deduction. And irionically, some people still claim that Inter have been far superior this season. But pardon me, far superior to whom? And where was this superiority for 18 successive season and don't tell me that it was just a coincidence that it happened for Inter to be far superior at the time Juve got demoted. Actually, this makes me giggle more and more.
