but i do remember that for zidane's money, we got thruam and buffon and we paid for nedved by selling inzaghi. We actually made some profit at the end.
Credit goes to Zidane's wife, without her where would we have been now.

What if Sheva's wife wanted to live in London because she can't stand the life in Milano anymore?
I don't think she has this choice, she is part of the Milan contract :D !!

i think it was the right decision to sell him! Eventhough he is one of the best players in his time and i admire him for being a great player and always respectful I think that Nedved has done more for Juve. And lets not forget we got also the best Goalkeeper and one of the best defenders with Thuram!

He was never as good for us as he was for France. The titles we won with him were mostly Del Piero's, not his. For the money we got selling him was a no-brainer.

Whatever. If you weren't a fan then, didn't get to see Juve games, or just was too young to know who was performing back then, it's not my problem. Just get your facts straight or go watch a musical or something.

Says the guy who's ELEVEN years younger than me and has seen ONE movie for Ewan McGregor, basically the worst movie he's ever done.

I haven't seen Moulin Rouge, it looks like crap. I don't know how old you are either, but your previous response tells me that you are either young/didn't watch Juve at the time, or has an agenda. You responded to my post as I said "Zidane is poo" or something of the sort, wich I did not. I simply said that ZZ never performed or was the leader for us as he was for France, an opinion shared by most of the knowledgeable people I knew who watched Juve back then, and by the media. Of course the Zidane signing was great if nothing because of the money we made, but also because he was a great player. However, I didn't comment his arrival, I commented his departure, even though you conveniently overlooked that in your reply in favour of a smart-ass reply.

It is obvious that Zidane did much better with the NT than with Juventus, I myself had said it many times. But saying that everything was because of Del Piero is utter crap.

I never said that, but Del Piero was the leader of the team, not Zidane as many think/thought. When Del Piero went down with his injury, we fell apart.

i think it was one of the best pieces of business that juve has ever done. Zidane; who despite what a few people have said, was fantastic in our team and who ALONG with Del Piero were the stars of our team at that point.

BUT the money generated from his sale has kept the club going ever since his sale, by adding 3 world class players in 3 positions in Buffon, Thuram and Nedved. The team was aging and these three players have added so much to our team.

The purchase of Buffon alone i think was worth it as he has truely proven his worth and will be in the juve goal for years to come.

Zidane was at his peak and his career would start so slow down soon, so he was sold at the best possible point.

Recieving £48 million is not a bad piece of business for a player bought for something like £2.5 mil

kind of sad how we don't do that anymore, like buying promising players and actually developing them before selling.

well, zidane is surly a great footballer, but he is not a real team player. he is not effective. he was not effective with juve. it was good to sell him.

sure I remember some awesome goals and winning the scudetto, but I donn´t think that he was the one we have to thank. impossible to say, but I don´t think we were zidane-dependant.
the players we got, are really Juve players, they fit eprfectly ionto the team. anyone could tell me what´s the best thing Zidane did for juve?
