It is strange to think that one day the things we liked will honestly be considered old people music, and the fact that we'll be sitting around with our canes listening to the Beastie Boys will be lame.
I do like Daft Punk. If you'll refer to my original post, I said I dislike what the US put out in the 90s. I love britpop and a lot of the French house stuff.

Check out Jeff Mills too if you haven't. Probably best banging techno producer ever. Derrick May is awesome too and I'll be seeing him right now in exactly 1 month, 9 days after I turn 18 which is pretty lucky.

Just because I don't care for something doesn't mean I'm not familiar with it. I know a lot about music, perhaps more than most, and my personal opinion is informed. I just don't like it, dude.

Whatever, it just seems odd that you would have heard more non-famous/deep cut type songs by bands like 4 Degrees, Outlaw Torn, Rain When I Die, Hey, Johnny Park! etc etc when you say you don't care for that music

Those are both great. I've had the chance to watch them perform both live a couple of years ago. You might want to check out Dave Clarke, Laurent Garnier and Chris Liebing if you're into that style.
