Can you tell me the names of the songs? Youtube is being a bitch for me at the moment. Just 3 songs.

Btw, I hope any of them are even half of this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=n2AD6MRgFno
Type MF DOOM with all of these: ALL CAPS, Take me to your leader, Rapp Snitch Knishes, Beef Rapp, Hoe Cakes, Vomitspit, El Chupa Nibre, Old School (feat Talib Kweli)

He sounds like someone you'd get bored of quickly.
typical. sounds like the words of someone that enjoys lil wayne or some bullshit like that.

I don't really have a preference between them, but I do listen to Nas more. :D But like I said, I wouldn't say DOOM's necessarily better lyrically, just a different type of lyricism. Doom perfects his own style, while Nasir does the same with his.
DOOM's lyrics are like Shakespeare. Nas is a thesis, eminem is pre-school (maybe junior high schooler on his earliest stuff) and lil wayne is dog/cat language.

It can take some time and effort to get into his music, but he's really dope.

BTW you flaming homosexuals (no homophobe), Lupe just announced that Food & Liquor II is done and might drop in the summer. The only thing that's holding it back is whether or not to make it a double-disc. I know that the fake God is a fan, don't know about the rest of ya. :p

shhhhhhhhhhh :p

I loved that sonnet about vomitspit.
Yeah, that's what the song is about...

some vomitspit lyrics:

'It's the beat
He hear it in his sleep sometime
Blare it in your jeep so your peoples can stare at them rhymes
Real rhymes not your everyday hologram
Even when ribs were touchin never swallowed the Ham
He'd rather eat a sand sandwich salad
It might need salt like your mans bland ballad
A lot of stuff happens that the news won't tell yous
Loose all L juice
Snooze all hell loose
Rake it
Take it like the good, the bad, the ugly
Break it rollin through ya hood in the cadi buggy
Butter softy, leather flossy, fatty juggy
Always threw me off when she told me daddy funk me'

not close to his best either

 I do enjoy Lil Wanye. And come on, you're saying some obscure rapper is better than Nas. We've all been through that phase, if not with DOOM, with tech9 and all those other guys who keep it real. Still, they're nowhere near as good as Nas and the likes and trust me, you'll get bored of them quickly.

Lil Wayne is a totally different type of rapper. I used to diss him in the beginning until I realized not every rap has to be about some depressing shit.

Shakespeare my ass.

You know who is overrated? Nirvana.
Oh I agree so much. About the noise too :)

oh the irony.

That's not just my opinion, it's the opinion of A LOT of people. Rolling Stones have it as the 17th greatest album ever even though Rolling Stone = bullshit. It's THE most influential album of the 90s and probably the most influential album of any genre since the 70s.
Certainly not true.

I shouldn't even reply to the rest for you saying that...

therefore T Pain is better than Big L right?

I've been listening to DOOM for about 3-4 months now and not even close to bored. You've haven't paid much attention to DOOM's lyrics it sounds like.

lil wayne oh man, greatest looking man alive, auto-tuned lyrical genius and guitar virtuoso

Lol you're making DOOM sound like he's some new rapper or something. :D He's an underground legend and has been around for yeeaaaars. The guy's got underground classics under his belt too.

God, I'd hate a rapper whose lyrics were like Shakespeare's.
I'm disappointed that you didn't get hyped from my Lupe post.

Btw, listening to MF Doom and I'm already bored. His lyrics are not exceptional, and they would need to be since he has an uninteresting rap flow. Sluggish and dreary, lacking style and charisma. Maybe his lyrics are great, but I'd have to listen very attentively to know it and that I won't do since it doesn't sound attractive musically. I can see why he's not popular (not saying that anyone who hasn't made it big isn't good).

Yeah he was a lamer.
Phew, now no one can tell me I just said something crazy :D
I'd love it.

In a similar vein, did you know that you can sing the vast majority of Emily Dickinson poems to the tune of the Gilligan's Island theme?
Ummm, sure!

Not really :D

I'm disappointed that you didn't get hyped from my Lupe post.
Sorry, I missed it. That's great. Yeah, so now I'm excited :D

Well then, enjoy your 'shiny' hip-hop that is made to grab your attention immediately.

Lol, you are what Jasper (no offence, Sam) would be if he was religious. Forgive me for not appreciating your indie rap.

Look, I like music that I can listen to in the background i.e. it must sound good. That doesn't sound like music to me.
