He was hooking with one hand and the other was just free floating :D i noticed that too,he got steel balls
You didn't notice the cable running up the tower where they hook in? OSHA safety would require it, so this isn't exactly a free climb per se.

E, that may be true. Although they base jump from 400 feet and less...
Sure, but when you base jump from 400 ft you have your parachute out and ready to go. If one of these guys falls he's not going to be planning for it, most likely to be falling backwards. So you would have to correct your fall position, remember that you're wearing a parachute, and compose yourself enough to pull the cord. On top of all that you have to far enough away from the tower that your chute will open without tangling, otherwise you could wrap yourself around the poll with wind speed that could potentially kill you.

Just too many variables to even bother. The best plan is not to fall.

I just posted a bit last page that said OSHA allows guys to do this.

There is no safety line.
Now that is just crazy stupid. There's no reason you couldn't run a cable along the length of it (and there clearly is one in some shots) and just tie in around your belt so that you at least fall no more than several feet.

If nothing else, for getting hit by birds up there.
