Just because racism and labour exploitation exists everywhere and Dubai is 'just another one'; doesn't mean we should ignore it yamensbs :) we'll never fully eradicate these problems but the least the world could do is try; like the author is trying to do here. Somebody has to cry for help.

Why do that when complete denial is so much more convenient

Has anyone seen Wall-E? I can't help but to make a connection here between what goes on in the Emirates and the people of the movie. Instead of investing the ridiculous amount of money this country has in things like schools, universities, a military, etc. they've decided to give their people free hand outs.

You have created an entire social class; the untouchables of The Emirates and they're being treated like shit.

It is such a shame that a people hailing from the Holy Prophets people do such things.

more or less it is..
I have been in dubai since forever. And I can tell you that this extreme isn't happening.

Yes, the pay is less for labourers but it is their choice as well. The ministry of labour here are doing a fantastic job to ensure that labourers aren't packed in buses to move them around, not filling appartments by the dozens, not working in the heat and many more.

Indian and Pakistani consulates are working hand in hand with the government here to over-come such obstacles that would prevent them a decent living.
Tell me you dont really believe what you just said.

Ahmed.. I will not accept you calling m ignorant / idiot.

The situation your calling is something from the past and it is not the case for the past couple of years. When was the last time you've been to Ministry of Labour?
Can't you see the new compounds being built to accomodate labourers?

Sorry man. I don't agree with your argument here. It was the case in the past and maybe the case here or there but it is not the standard thing nowadays.
I will...

Dubai was not created 2 years ago you know...and I work in this field (Mech. Engineer) so I have seen firsthand the atrocious conditions these labourers live in...until recently, most of them had not even been paid their salaries for over 6 months...every day you would about a case where a company had not paid their workers for more than 6 months, and forced them to live in inhuman conditions...where was the Ministry of Labour then? they have started to take action recently because of the increased media exposure Dubai is getting in...if they had it their own way, they wouldn't have changed a thing in this country
....plus, you got owned....so shut up.
