Nordsjaelland coach Kasper Hjulmand believes his men will be in for a tough test when the Bianconeri travel to Parken Stadium on Tuesday night.
After slipping to defeat in their opening two Champions League encounters against Shakhtar and Chelsea, the Wild Tigers will be aiming to put on a good show in front of a capacity crowd in Copenhagen.
But Hjulmand is mindful of the size of the task facing the defending Danish champions.
Speaking from the country’s national stadium, Hjulmand began: “Juventus are a side that need to be respected. They’re hungry, never give up and are extremely well drilled. Conte has managed to bring across a winning mentality to the entire group.”
The 40-year-old singled out playmaker Andrea Pirlo as the Bianconeri’s main threat.
“What Pirlo does is something very few are able to achieve. You can’t stop him, but you can try and limit his impact. However Juventus aren’t just about Pirlo, they’re a collective force.”
Despite encountering difficulties in their opening two Champions League fixtures, Hjulmand insists he will persevere with his favoured strategy.
“We know it will be a tricky encounter, but we won’t change our philosophy. The project has brought success over the past couple of years and we won’t alter things just because we’ve been defeated in our first couple of games.”
Club captain Nicolai Stokholm, a mainstay of the Nordsjaelland side since joining in 2009, followed his manager in speaking highly of the Bianconeri.
Stokholm said: “I’m very happy to play in the Champions League again, especially against a prestigious side like Juventus. We haven’t had the best of luck in our first two games, but we’ll keep to our strategy and try and be a little more clinical in the final third.”
