6. I'm Black
7. The Truth
8. Realise

I heard that naS and jigga are doin an album together. That would be pretty ill being that both are still in their respective primes.

Its big in the sense that imagine if michael jackson and prince did an album together back in the 80's, it would have been the biggest album of all time. That’s the comparisons that are being made to the idea if they do go ahead and make an album.

I like Nasir but Jigga is not one of my favorites. Rakim/Gang Starr/Nas would be my dream combo album of all time.

Ok, I never was a fan of Nas, though I liked one song only, I forgot the name, has something "the gun" in it. 2nd, I remember buying the Roots album ages ago, and..they were pretty crap. I'll check the others out, Rakim though sounds like wants to "fuck some bitches". Hopefully it's not what Im expecting.

@the Gigolo: Yeah, I remember hearing that..but I guess I was talking about more old school hip hop that had meaning in it, this one was made ahead of its time with technology etc..

buzz off. how can someone be rated lyrically if he sings (hmmm..) about dick?
Again, you have no idea what the purpose of that album happens to be, and probably his music in general. I can't expect you to understand until you listen to his music and learn about what his new album is about.

Na man rakim and the roots are pure hip-hop. No stereotypes about partying in the club or violence. Just pure beats and rhymes. Rakim is the best emcee of all time for a reason.

I love the Wu but I didn't think Eddy would like their style.

Oh no, man. No way. Rakim has a message in most of his tracks.

If you want to hear a good one, listen to "Waiting for the World to End." Listen to that first.

 The Irony. I was randomly singing their song today to one my hardcore "metal" friends. Shockingly he continued the verse with me. :lol2:
"WU-TANG CLAN AIN'T NOTHIN TO FUCK WITH, WU-TANG CLAN AIN'T NOTHIN TO FUCK WITH"

Cool. I'll check that out first then. Oh btw, the Nas song I was reffering to was "Got urself a gun". Tupac tribute, figures. Thought these 2 were enemies...

I can't tell you about Rakim, Gang Starr, Cormega, Souls of Mischief, Little Brother, The Roots. But I can tell you about Nas and Lupe Fiasco.

I don't like the rap genre except for a few artistes. Those are 2Pac, Nas, Kanye West and Lupe Fiasco. 2Pac is my favourite and IMO, is definitely the best. In fact, he is the reason I started listening to music, let alone rap.

Nas is a great rapper, but these days he is getting boring. I can't say about his last 2 albums but his flow has definitely changed for the lamer, and his lyrics are kind of boring now. Illmatic is even with All Eyez On Me as my favourite album ever. He was young, hungry and had the best flow I ever heard. Later on, he started adding more depth to his tracks. But from God Son I think he has declined. He still has great recent songs, but a lot just sound like CD fillers.

Lupe Fiasco is my favourite current artiste now. Apart from his flow, and his witty lyrics and metaphors, he has some deep songs as well. However, he has some songs from earlier on where he was just a rapper with a tight flow but crappy material, but that has changed. I don't think he can be compared to Pac though. completely different, 2Pac was less of a rapper but more of a lyricist. He beats Lupe for depth, Lupe beats him for flow and style. Pac also had more charisma and more pasion, Lupe has more energy. I think he can become a legend though, along with Hurricane Chris (joking)

with those sort of titles im not sure im going to bother, sorry. but seriously. if one wants to talk about social and racial struggles of the coloured, be my guest, obviously not everything is fine with that. i bet m.l. king is nas' hero and idot, yet i dont think he would've approved off such things.

Jay-Z in his prime? I wish he would retire already. Nas is far from his prime as well, but he can still stay around for a while.

2pac's titles were awesome. The tunes were so out there, no other rap tunes sounded like his. At least from what Im hearing from this new generation

Lol, really? I didn't think you'd like the Wu because they're pretty crazy and don't always have meaningful lyrics.

KRS One and his "Stop the violence movement"...what do you think about it?I think it's controversial, because on the one side rappers like Cassidy,Chamillionaire,Lil Wayne and The Game are rapping about killing, shooting and so on and on the other side they join such a project. BTW The Game looks like a faggot with his red star on his cheek.
