The Old Lady have won 12 of the 15 Serie A games with Hernanes in the starting XI, losing just twice and drawing the other.

The guy has a lot of limitations but credit where it is due, he stepped up today when a lot of other players didn't.

He wasn't afraid to get on the ball and throw himself about.

He made some mistakes, but that was as good as he has played for us.

I wouldn't mind him staying as Marchisio back up. He is a player who on his day can even play better than Marchisio. Like in the Bayern game for example.

He stopped being a timid player, it's a big difference in that position. Looks to me like he is trying to save his Juve career.
Yes, he regained confidence and can play more vertically now, that's very important.

Still underwhelming when it comes to ground covering and tackling, he's very reckless sometimes and can get caught out of position.

But is looking more and more as a decent substitute, good enough for Italy.

Come on, the guy is a ticking time bomb. Should not be near our starting line-up, ever.
He's as close to a Marchisio sub as we have now though. The big problem is that he generally has one good game followed by a few really average ones.

Yep. He really had a crack. Was more creative than he's been for a long time with some decent long balls which was very surprising.

Was our best mid against Chievo. Ironic that our best players in this game was Hernanes and Mandzukic.

It would be interesting to see him play in more of a box to box fashion alongside Marchisio.
