Following Wednesday's Champions League final, Thierry Henry is ready to put pen to paper on a deal with Arsenal.
Henry is set to end months of speculation over his future and see out his career with Arsenal, by signing a new contract, inspired by their Champions League final display.
His contract runs out at the end of next season, and he had been linked with a move to Wednesday's opponents and Champions League winners Barcelona.
"I hope to stay as long as I can keep running. I couldn't leave the fans. They're like family," Henry told The Sun to scotch the speculation.
“Everything was up in the air for a very long time. But at the end of the day, the team raised their game.
"Don’t get me wrong. I love Barcelona. But on Wednesday Arsenal showed they had heart.
“After we lost on Wednesday, I went over to our fans and clapped them and they clapped me.
"I hope to finalise all the details today."
The news will come as a huge relief to Gunners worldwide, as they get ready for a new era in their new stadium.
