When I try to start my computer, it says that it can't find the "system.ini" file, and that I need to start with my boot disk or something and type "scanreg/restore".

Now, I don't have this disk, and I don't now what the heck to do. Can someone please help me, my computer is completely broken!!!!

Reinstalling windows is always a good policy.

Ok, I found some cd's, I'll try now. :nervousashell:

For the record, I never got into fixing/restoring windows. Whenever it would go to hell, I would slide in the install disc and start anew. I don't even know to what extent it is fixable.

Got it going again now, seems like not much was lost. Cheers to the HP system recovery discs, good job!
