So, I scouted Rafia & Daouda Peeters this weekend. Well, Standard was playing KV Mechelen so I was there anyway
First of, Standard are a team in crisis (both on & off the pitch) so not an ideal club to find yourself as a loaned player. I hadn't seen either of them play before friday night, but according to what I had heard, both had been underwhelming/poor. Rafia had played about 170 minutes, Peeters about 140 minutes.
Rafia started this game & was subbed out at halftime. Shocking half. Didn't do anything right. And in a team filled with arrogant players who don't seem to give a damn, he managed to stand out as one of the worst ones. I guess he must/might have some technical qualities, but I didn't get to see them.
Peeters started on the bench, but came on quite early, at around the 30 minute mark. One of his first passes was an excellent long range one to set up an attack. Sure, not an attack for his own team, but still. All things considered, I think he did ok. Far from good, but at least he looked like a football player.
