I feel like I'm getting too fat so I'm going to start trying to cut. Any suggestions? I've heard from many that cutting down on carbs is the way to go, as difficult as that will be for me.
yes carbs especially white carbs and sugars have to go especially after 6pm, you also need to eat or take in .9 ounces of protein for every lb of body weight you have. Cut out alcohol for the majority and increase water intake to 101 fluid ounces or more. Decrease cardio and increase weights, when cardio is done make sure two hours later you take in a healthy protein rich snack. Also after weight training immediately take in a protein/amino/anabolic shake. I recommend Musclemeds carnivore/secret sauce.

I was thinking about joining a gym for a while but I wouldn't know where to start. Any advice? Currently 71kg, about 175cm (give or take a couple)

Compound lifts . You could research and look up all you want, but nothing's going to happen until you just walk in and start doing stuff. After that, it'll be like nothing.

Start with a bro split (Google it)

It'll give you the fast results you want and you'll build a strong base. From there, you can find other programs as you go along.

Of course :D But if I walk in without knowing anything I could cause an injury or something
