Body weight ab workout. This is the best fitness channel on Youtube by a country mile by the way.
For me they do. Especially lower abs. But people are different. What works for me might not work (as good) for you.
To get the most out of your chin up your legs should be straight so when you pull up your body is on a slight slant like so /.. You don't want your body to be completely perpendicular to the ground on a chin/pull up...chins/pull ups with this form will definitely work your abs and it's better in developing your back.

These two books. Best things out there for bodyweight strength exercises, especially considering the progression they detail to take you from beginner bodyweight strength, into more advanced bodyweight strength exercises like the Planche, Manna, Front Lever, etc.
Toe to bar/ring is one amazing core workout.
Thanks for the tips, fellas

I've plateaued :sigh:. Shit sucks.
Switch things up, bro. Bust through that plateau...

Sometimes, it just takes a more planned out workout schedule, involving periodization and specific phases for the different aspects of training, in order to avoid lengthy plateaus... Another thing people often underrate is taking a week off every couple months.

Thinking about trying a full-body routine three times a week, but it doesn't exactly work with my schedule. I'll figure it out.
why not?

I have a question. I've never been able to do push ups (I'm like 90% leg strength, 10% arm strength). In the past couple of months I've been working at it (part of the bodyweight workout I do), but I don't seem to be getting any closer. I can do maybe 3 on a good day. I've been doing the variant where I only do the lowering half, not the raising part. Figured that would make me stronger, but it doesn't really seem to be working. Any ideas?

With push ups and pull ups the only way to get better is do them imo. It's long hard work, but no other exercise really assists them. Partly because they themselves are foundation exercises.

There are a few other options...

Doing push-ups off your knees to reduce the lever is one. The next is to do static holds in various positions of the push-up. Try to keep the body in a solid plank while doing these. And the last would be supplementary dumbbell benchpress to develop more of the chest, shoulder and tricep strength required to do pushups.

Speaking of plateaus, Ive been at one for a month or so. Didnt really bother me as I have other stuff to focus on so i just did my routine in a hurry to get home.

4 days ago I felt energetic and had time when I went to the gym and I added a set to 8 different back workouts while also adding 8kg to them. Felt arousing to say the least.

On level with the gym bros when it comes to cable exercises now.

Might not be much but the progress for me is insanse.

Awesome. I love those types of days, where you feel that breakthrough after a long plateau, and it just comes out of nowhere.
I felt like I could eat the entire gym .

been itching to get back, ive got a day of studying in front of me, ill load up on food and give it a go around 4pm.

Also got a deal with a PT where he going to help me tailor a programme, 2x1 hour for about 50 bucks.

Nice. I've been getting up early lately at 5:30am 4 days and week to train from 6am-8am. I love it. Feel a little sluggish for the first 15 minutes, but then you wake up fully and feel so much energy bursting forth. My gymnastics ring training is just making leaps and bounds.

Love the feeling afterwards too. You feel so good throughout the day.

I wish I could do that. Im just pacing myself to get at 8am studentlife..

What I also noticed is that it makes no sense for me to stretch at the gym. I go home and put on some music and have a 40min session in peace and calm. Saw great progression there while my lifting was plateauing

Same deal. I do a little dynamic stretching in my warm-up, but any actual flexibility work is done in a separate session at home. Feels a lot better.

Mentioning yourself again I see. :p
Not entirely ;)

Here's how the Danes function on 'Tuz. @Nzoric, @Völler and I are in control of @Hængebøffer.

We have a schedule where we share the control between us usually one week at a time.

Völler is the one who always get sober Hængebøffer banned, I'm the one who always get drunk Hængebøffer banned and nzoric is the rest.

When Hængebøffer participates in Mafia Games, it's usually Nzoric that's in control, 'cause who rarely participates on nzoric.

Cheers :p

Well, that was the initial purpose. I do enjoy the pseudo intellectual pedophile persona as well.

@Hængebøffer and @Siamak are the jewels of our collection.

@Völler
