If we buy a good CB like kjaer in the winter and then put him next to canna, I wouldn't see any problem playing Chiellini as a LB until the end of the season since he knows how to play that position better than anybody in our sqaud currently. Then in the summer mercato we can focus on getting a LB.
Chiellini is wasted out left and he's better than Canna is centrally. There is absolutely no point in doing it, especially when Grosso is better going forward.

I would rather having somebody that won't get exposed defensively at the back position than a player is just average going forward. On a weekly basis our defense is getting exposed and turned in and out so easily. Grosso hasn't been impressive going forward and it's obvious he lacks the pace to do so.

I don't believe Chiellini is better than Grosso at going forward and putting in crosses.
Watching Grosso running up front is as painful as watching Snoop naked.

I don't like him at all. Chiellini might be more clumsy on the side, but his crosses are better IMO.

But I do think that Chiellini's perfect position is in the center and I'd keep him there.

So you'd rather have a weaker player in the middle of the pitch and weaken a player who is wasted at a wide position?

I just can't see this making any sense.

I said nothing about the middle of the pitch. all what I am saying I would always choose the left back who is better defensively and I would have no problem sacrificing that left back going forward as long as the defesne doesn't get exposed. Chiellini is a better center back for sure, but if needed I don't see any problem using him as a left back for a short time until we get the perfect left back in the mercato. Defensively as a left back there is nobody right now who is better defensively as a left back than Cheillini on our squad

You want Chiellini over Grosso for a short time until we find a proper left back? Because I don't see us spending on someone else for at least another 6 months.
As long I don't see Grosso playing then yes. The guy is poor defensively and average going forward and many still rate him for the good 3 matched he played back in 2006. I wouldn't let him start on a peewee team let a lone a team of Juve stature

I absolutely hate Grosso and would chop him immediately if I could, but only if we had a proper replacement for him. As of right now, we do not have one because that would mean weakening another position. So unfortunately Grossbag is the only option out there for now, unless we want to field Brazzo again.
