For Voller, Knopfler > Clapton

Knopfler is awesome. But saying Clapton is overrated is meh. In all fairness all them SRV, Clapton, Knopfler are in a league of their own, just that their styles differ. All them are best in the world.

The only guy that is really better then Clapton is Hendrix and B.B. King.

Knopfler is probably the best guitar player ever imo, even better than Hendrix. Nobody else can make it sound quite so otherworldly. As a guitarist I rate both Page & Hendrix as the two best ever.

Page as a guitarists isn't that impressive really. More as a composer and producer that really left his mark, but just as a guitarists, he's not top 10 even imo.

Knopfler plays a very different style to all of them, he's a fingerpicker He's on of my favorites.

Duane Allman not that one was legendary too, too bad he died at just 24 years age...

Duane was great too . Clapton started out with a realy unique style, but too quickly got comfortable. Over the past 25 years he hasnt evolved his sound one bit. He even admits to not even trying some of the stuff he was pulling off in his youth.

Id also put Iommi there, technically he is a diesel engine, but his legacy is incredible.
