I disagree !! we should look to improve not to stagnate or take steps back. Next year will be more difficult to sign WC players, PL new TV deal, our CL campaign won't be as good as last year most probably....
I did not want to see that coming, because that turns us into Inter or Milan circa 2012. Truthfully speaking, a lot of us HOPED that Juve could make a serious run in Europe, but I think that if we were allowed to speak off the record, not many of us thought that it was possible.
So the club has done the unconventional for the most part, and has turned to youth to lead Juve to the next chapter. It's not a popular move, even amongst those that have been pushing for youth for a long time. A lot of it seems to be too much, too soon, especially if Draxler is signed. Talk about a young attack, with Dybala, Draxler, Coman, Morata, and Zaza.
Thankfully, the club has the right mix of experience and players still in their prime in other positions of the squad. Sometimes difficult choices have to be made when you do something the way Juve have done this summer. That difficult choice was Vidal. Whether it was a mutual agreement between the two parties, or a side swipe by one or the other, who the hell knows. But after Pogba, he was the one who would bring in the highest amount of cash.
So, in conclusion, I think this club went as far as it could. And no, I don't think that it is a small team or a provincial mentality. I call it preventative measures to make sure that the cycle can continue, and not having us fall into that trap.
