Following a gradual build-up consisting of work on fitness and technique, the manager has significantly stepped up the level of preparations and is beginning to mould his style of play for the upcoming 2012/13 campaign.
As ever, the 42-year-old was a prominent figure throughout, initially guiding a group of 10 players through a rigorous tactical session.
Masi, Lucio and Untersee were joined by wing-backs Pepe and De Ceglie for defensive movements, while midfielders Padoin, Marrone, Asamoah worked on supplying service for Quagliarella and Vucinic. Both sets of players then came together to put their newly gathered knowledge into practice.
After rounding off their session with some shooting practice, the first group moved into the gym to allow their remaining team-mates to follow the same training programme.
