Why? we all know robben will start in the first 11, so give the others the change to gel aswell, it will make us more dangerous then putting Robben in danger for being made of glass, we need him in the WC, not in the friendly matches, btw i wanna see Elia against Ghana :)

How far you think Germany will reach Sab? Now without Ballack?

@Andy, as long as we score more then our opponents we have nothing to fear, and tbh our defence is not that bad,as long as Ooijer doesnt plays, i wanna know on hat you based that? I only wish VdS was there instead of Stekelenburg,
Pretty simple, players like Boulahrouz are mediocre. The Dutch have had better defenses and this one is pretty poor, I must say.

But I still hope you do well as I like your football and hate pretty much all the big Euro nations.

The Dutch are a team that can score multiple goals. They just need to hope for a bit of luck come the knock out stages.

I don't think Boula is mediocre andy m8, i do think Gio,Ooijer and Mathijsen are mediocre. We used to have one of the best with Stam,de Boer,Numan and Reiziger but indeed this one is the weakest link. Thx for supporting us a bit :)

Unfortunately it seems that way. But doesn't that mean VDV won't be a starter?

Ken, how do you expect the front four to look like??

Will Netherlands play Robben on the left or right? I suppose Kuijt will be on the right? :(

These are the big questions everybody is asking, as it's the only questionmark in our line up really, but I somehow doubt he'd stick Robben on the left after the season he's had. It's either Robben on the left and Kuyt on the right, or Robben in his usual position and VDV on the left.

Ideally:

Van Persie
Van der Vaart - Sneijder - Robben

I know Kuyt's workrate makes him a valuable asset to our team, but I don't think it should go at the expense of playing Robben out of his favoured ( He said this recently ) position and a player like Van der Vaart.

We've played Robben on the left in the Qualifiers, with Kuyt on the right, which Van Marwijk really likes, but that was before he had a great season on the right, and Van Persie has been injured so Kuyt played upfront a lot, not 'getting in Robben's way' on the flank. So I really don't know.

I would say we'll see tonight, but apparently we'll play our full team without Robben, since he had some pain in his hip and Ghana are a physically very strong team. We still have another game this week, so he can get some playing time then.

Are you sure? I was kind of under the impression that Kuyt had the right wing position guaranteed.
Kind of. But the Qualifiers were before Robben did his thing on the right with Bayern and for a lot of the friendlies early this year Van Persie was out injured, so he never really had to address this problem all that much in official games, that mattered.

Ah thanks for the info. So, we won't be seeing Sneider on the left ala the Euro's huh?

I don't think VDV would do so well on the left.

Playing the way we do that's the only way to fit both VDV and Sneijder in the same line up.

He's played all over the show for Madrid, quite a few times on the left. He's no winger, but him next to Sneijder could work I think. There's always Elia for the left flank aswell as Afellay, but it seems these guys will be subs. It's a bit of a wild guess, but going on what we've played in the qualifiers it'll be Kuyt on the right, Robben on the left. But yea, that was before Robben's season at Bayern pretty much.

Your guess is as good as mine, really. :D
