We're smart, aren't we?

Adidas offered this ball to ALL nations in Feb but they didn't took advantage of it.
I don't know if you're smart but the people in charge of these decisions made a great move.

And the Premier League couldn't play with that ball cause Nike is their official ball suppliers.

Why would clubs choose to use it in training? It would be of no advantage to them, only to the players who are going to the World Cup.
ha ha, good point.

using the ball in training would have made them adjust to the ball and so fuck up the league games, because the ball in the league matches is different ....

on the other hand :which club does care about championship/league points anyway, when they have the possibility to let the players adjust for the world cup which will bring the club itself nothing? ^^

Oh, right. Good points. Didn't think at all about it, nor about the fact that it wasn't known which players will play at the world cup so they could train individually with the ball from time to time.

So shall we consider it a conspiracy that FIFA wants the Germans to win?

They have half a year to try the ball but wait for the world cup and then cry about it? Sorry but this is just a really really lame excuse for bad performances. It's their own fault.

Wasn't the ball used in the Dutch league as well? I know Ajax did at least.
Some Belgian clubs even played with it.

Obviously Italy, Spain & England couldn't use it due to commercial / sponsor agreements. Simple as that.

But the fact remains: these are nothing more than excuses. Every team has been training with that ball for a few weeks now. Honestly, how long does it take to get used to a different ball when you're a professional player?

Sponsorship reasons. The players could try it in their backyard though.
