Utterly correct. He should easily have put that around the post, and if Cappelo plays him again, the oposition should shoot from the half way line at ever opportunatly.
Capello was very angry he didn't there.
thank god someone else seen it,media are all praising the save, saying he made a terrific save...personally i thought he made a hash of it and was very lucky it hit the post

Jamie Carragher won't play the second game. Could have been sent off three times at least and was generally horrible. Capello will replace him.

Both the US and England should advance from this group though. The only thing I can see happening is that the US will be naive and Algeria will somehow trick them into losing. I don't see the US doing well against Algeria at all.
I don't see Algeria being a problem. It's Slovenia and their compact defense that worries me. Granted I've seen the US much more than you so you can just believe me when I say I'm right.:D

And I was disappointed with the draw. We could have won the match by 2 or 3 goals had we finished better in the final third. I think for me the match was made to seem better than it was by the awesome atmosphere we watched it in. It was as you say "typically American" and I think you would have loved it. Especially when the majority of the pub began baiting the 6 England fans during a car commercial featuring a Camaro with a US flag chasing red coats off a field during the Revolutionary War.

A lot of the English tackling should have been carded especially the tackles by Carragher and Heskey (on Howard).

Now there's the attitude I want to see. The atmosphere during the game sounds great the way you describe it :D.

The problem I have with Andy is his constant showing off and his mocking of the opponent after a result that he considers to be good. Who in the right mind makes fun of a team you didn't even beat? It's because he feels so inferior I guess. Only if you consider yourself to be a very poor team you would gloat about a draw.

Top of the group :) and our first victory in the WC. We played badly but I think that now the players will be more relaxed and play better. Our team isn't bad and I can see us squezzing a result against US/England.

You seriously think he was trying to do that? :numnum: He's just crap, he injured his own captain in training because he is just a big lump.
I don't mind players challenging the ball. But that shit was just reckless and dumb. Being shit isn't an excuse to make a bad tackle, I'm Eduardo and Aaron Ramsey agree with me. :D

Steve Gerrard "The whole team is behind Rob Green". In retrospect, that's a good place to stand.
