Waste of money really. did anyone see Van Persie's goal tonight against wigan? What a free kick!!!! Even though wigan got the crucial goal a min from extra time and Arsenal went out. Its talent like him we should be going for. We missed out on C.Ronaldo cos Salas refused to go sporting lisbon. Van Persie is gonna be the shit!! Trust me!
Van Persie already is the shit, and that's why Wenger bought him from Feyenord. Wenger knows how to spot talent far better than Capello. And our scouting system is laughable, don't know why the article complimented it.

Wenger is good but capello is also decent at picking talent. Wenger hasnt got teh cash to spend so he really has to dig deep and his choices are far more crucial.

i think it is important to have a player like Grafite at the club. If Zalayeta leaves, we need back up for trezeguet and this guy, from what i have heard seems to fit the bill well.

As for zalayeta signing an extension, its a good thing. i dont want to see players leave on frees at the club.

They may be far more crucial, but they are still the best in the game, each and every one. Look at Fabregas, Van Persie, Clichy, and Almunia...

Capello is more of a businessman. Don't forget that Wenger payed silly money for Reyes...we got Vieira AND Emerson for the same price.

    Cunha: No Grafite offers

Sao Paulo chairman Marco Aurelio Cunha has stated that they have not received any offers from French side Le Mans for star striker Grafite.

It had been reported that Le Mans had made a bid of €4 million (£2.75 million) for the player, though the chairman insists that there has been no contact from the French club.

"In football it is always the same, many things are said then they aren't done," Cunha said.

"We heard some days ago that Le Mans were interested in Grafite and we have even heard the player saying to the press that he would like to play in France, but the truth is that we haven't received any type of communication from Le Mans.

"If we receive an offer for him we'll have to consider it, and even if the player wants to leave Sao Paulo he will have to wait until we fully consider what we have been offered for him."

He added: "We are going to wait for a proposal from the Le Mans officials because at the moment everything has been done through the press and that's not the way to go about buying a player."

There have also been reports that Italian giants Juventus are interested in the striker, with suggestions that Juve will buy the player and loan him straight back out in order to help his adjustment to European football.

Le Mans are enjoying a great season in Ligue 1 following their promotion and are currently in eighth position, just five points off a UEFA Champions League place

Strikers always cost more than midfielders...

And how are Arsenal doing now? Do juve have enough time to wait for the guys to Mature? Cap was brought in for one thing, REGENARATION at the fastest pace.
Remember when he was brought in most of us thought that it would take atleast 1 season before we could compete for the scudetto, where are we now? We are in the middle of a regeneration without givin up our competitiveness.

Capello and Juventus always look at Half finished players, they don't go after infants, the PResent is as important or more so, than our Future.

The only reason that Arsenal aren't dominating the EPL right now is because Chelski has more money.
