Fast download - about 3 minutes on a modem (900K)
Requires Windows XP/2000, minimum 56k (broadband recommended)
Mac and Linux users can connect to Google Talk using other IM clients

I checked it out, it's actually just based on Jabber and they put up their own server so they're using existing technology (which is open source btw people). Jeeks says the Google client is shit, to me it seems barebones but usable. Don't really get why anyone will use Google Talk, it doesn't have anything that other IMs don't have.

I didn't like the client and the network is kinda useless. These have been abused, unless they come up with a fantastic feature, I won't be suing it. Actually I have only one contact on my list, that was used for testing :)

You are missing the point. It's simple, no ads and does the job. It also has voice better than msn etc. It is also more open. It wouldnt be google if it was overloaded with features.

I'll be using it if I can add msn contacts in future.
