Palladino makes Juve call
Wednesday 24 May, 2006

Raffaele Palladino says he’s ready to be a part of Juventus’ future even if it means playing in the lower Divisions.

Palladino is a Juventus youth team product who has just spent a successful season on loan at Livorno from the Turin giants.

But many expect him to return to the Stadio Delle Alpi this summer, especially if the outfit are demoted from Serie A.

“Juventus are the team of my heart, they always have been,” said the Under-21 international striker.

“I owe a lot to that club because they gave me the possibility to grow as a player,” he continued. “In fact, I would even wear the Bianconeri jersey in Serie C if asked.”

Juventus do run the risk of being thrown out of the top tier this summer if they are found to have committed sporting fraud.

The investigation into alleged match-fixing erupted after a number of telephone calls involving Juve’s now former director general Luciano Moggi were intercepted by the authorities.

“I am rocked by what is happening right now,” added Palladino. “I would have never imagined that someone like Moggi could be involved in such a story.”

We have been asking from this fellow to join the squad for a while now... I think its good for him that he went and played with Livorno to get some experience but I think its about time we get him back.
We need players who actually love the team.. Such players make the difference when the team need the spirit while losing.

In this hard times for Juve and Juve fans we can see who is true bianconero and who isn't. And this is one of the positive things in this scandal.

I'm glad that Palladino said something like that, I just hope that we gonna hear more statements like Palladino's from other players too.

this one seems a good news i saw it on J1897. can anyone translate it?

There is no subject in there. I don't know who is thinking/doing/believing that

Good news:

13:51 Cannavaro: Serie B? Nessun problema, resto

Fabio says he's proud to wear this shirt and would have no problems in wearing it in B. He says that we have had De Santis 6 times in 2005 and we have never won. He's sorry for what's happening to Moggi, who was used to receive 400 calls a day and now only receives 3-4. Before judging people we should wait for the end of the investigations.

It's nice to see such loyalty from Del Piero, Paladino and now Cannavaro. If we would end up in Serie B it's nice that we at least have some players left.

btw, if Moggi really received 400 calls a day that means 16 per hour, including when he sleeps

This De Biase (was he the one of the calciosommesse? I can't remember) says is not right that they (sportive judges) won't do investigations. He wants Borrelli to hear everyone and decide from there. This can't be "speedy", there can't be anomalities in the investigations. After having read the "results" of the Carabinieri's investigations, he has come to the conclusion that what was done was to maintain the power in calcio and not to fix the result of matches. So not 6th art, but 1rst. (This I can't understand what does it mean: illicit in power and not sportive illicit)
