What comes to my mind is Szczesny interviews in polish media when he was signed by Juve. He always said that what conviced him the most to join us was the whole plan club had for him. That our club plans everything ahead bot just next season.

Now how is it related to Higuain? Well last year we had Schick transfer almost closed and everyone was thinking why we actually need him with out attack stacked as he wont play on wing. Imo this was exactly what Szczesny was saying - the club planned for Patrick to be Higuain successor this season after one year of acclimatisation. Of course in the end it didnt work, because of the heart problems, but for me it was all planning ahead.

Yeah doesn't sound like the door is shutting at all. Marotta is usually pretty defensive in terms of his statements, at least in the initial stage of rumours. After that it can all change of course but for now it's an odd one.

Selling Higuain after the World Cup and struggling for a few weeks to replace him is a potential nightmare scenario.

I don't get how we can be linked to all these CMs but Higuain will stay? Either Higuain or Dybala has to go for us to play a 3 man midfield.

Say we sign Dembele or Golovin or something and Marchisio + Sturaro leave.

Dembele-Pjanic
Can-Khedira
Matuidi-Bentancur

Doesn't make sense. They will all want to start.

Listening to Max you could be so right. Says he wants Higgy to stay but knows Dybala won't stay past 2018-19 season? BIG Higgy fan but no doubt Mario could/should have seen more time at striker spot. And Dybala gets the bench here and there.

Maybe there's only room for one guy in the locker room that likes to fool around? Max, does he remind you of anyone? :sergio:

Allegri prefers 4-3-3 and a bigger CF like Higuain but Marotta will not sell Dybala so Allegri must compromise and work a team around Dybala playing CF. Allegri has refused to use Dybala as a RW because he feels he cannot help the RB enough. It has been decided that Mandzukic will be kept as a backup CF or starting CF in a 4-4-2 in case Dybala cannot play CF.

In addition, Marotta will work to acquire Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to play as a pseudo-target man CM as he does at Lazio. If the move doesn't materialize then Marotta will look to fill LW with a bigger player like Martial or Morata.
