My post was an overreaction on many levels. There may have been a glass of wine too many :D

Obviously, I don't hate anyone here for their opinions - or even for being annoying as hell sometimes. Also, this thread is not the (main) reason I've been posting less these days.

However, the essence of the post and the feeling that sparked it remains; I'm annoyed by the downright and constant hate that is being thrown at this player. I can't remember a player who got worse stick than this guy, at Tuz. Matri, perhaps?

Just don't see how that's warranted with Higuain. His goal tally is impressive and he's always a constant threat during games.

But anyway, I'll leave it at that.
i was just disagreeing with you that hes been criticized for just being fat. there were (justified) critics about his underperforming in big games even before he joined, as his CL goalscoring record shows, and that was and is still my (and i believe many others as well) main issue with him, as i was saying all along that i dont care if he scores 10 or 100 goals in Serie A, as long as he scores regularly in the CL knock outs. being overweight as the highest earner at a club like Juve just adds to the criticism.

i would obviously love for him to start proving his worth against the top european clubs on the biggest stage as that would benefit Juventus the most, but i will also criticize him when i think he deserves it, like at the start of the season when he was in atrocious form which was in big part due to his overweightness

Look man. I don't think anyone genuinely dislikes Hiugain. He scored plenty of goals in the league last season, and we are thankful for that. However, his performances in Europe have been disappointing, to say the least. It's not his fault we paid all that money for him, but in all honesty, he hasn't proven to be worth it. Of course, if he scores 10 goals en route to a Juve CL victory, you can disregard my post and confine it to the annals of history. Until that day comes, however, some criticism is warranted. Also, considering we had the likes of Del Piero, Platini, Zidane, Sivori, and Trezeguet play for us, I don't think it's fair to say Higuain is one of the biggest starts to have ever played for this club. He's definitely a quality striker, and one of the best in his position, but one of the biggest stars to ever play for us? I don't think so.
we do that already. :D

This thread is the reason Im posting much less these days.

It's been a disappointment from day one. And it makes me puke at the idea of logging onto Tuz (which I still do [log on that is] at least once a week, cause I have a past here).

Ahead of last season, signing one of the biggest stars to have ever played for our club, I thought this thread would be full of joy. But this player instantly got flamed, for being overweight.

I kept my cool, and thought to myself: Yeah ok, fickle fans are fickle, but after he scores something like 30 goals in a season, they will adore him.

And he did score that. 32 to be exact. But no, the fans did not forget nor forgive. Because ERMAGAWD he was a bit overweight in pre-season!!! 32 goals could neva compensate for that!!!!

And now, he's still being flamed and bullied, worse than ever.

I want to say a big fuck you to his haters, whoever you are.

It's not even about "opinions" anymore; You have made my time at Tuz - since signing Higuain - a bad experience, and I will always hate you for it. You know who you are.
Agreed Jemmy, the criticism Higgy is getting is totally unjustified. :agree:

Didn't have a lot of service but still managed to fuck up 3 good chances that a player of his cost and reputation should be expected to put away with some regularitty.

I want to defend him but very frustrating to see tonight

I think he's declining.

His Amauri-esque first touches is becoming a common theme in his game. I don't know how he's going to fix that. We can't be excusing him anymore when he's been sub standard for most part this year.
