This might be an unpopular opinion, but I genuinely believe that this €90m dude might turn out to be a flop signing for us.

Yes, Higuaín has done a fantastic job at scoring goals for fun in Serie A and noone will deny it.

But let's be real here guys; Juventus bought Higuáin for only one single reason:

Perform consistently on a very high level in CL knock-out stage

Last season, I hoped that he would finally do that for us.

Sadly... Higuaín was simply flat-out crap in almost every match in CL knock-out stage (except Monaco away).

But maybe I shouldn't be surprised about it...

This stat is absolutely atrocious for someone who's supposed to one of the best #9s in the world and already have CL experience with us & Real Madrid. It's non-excusable, no matter how you look at it.

Again, Higuaín has done a amazing job in Serie A and I'm really happy that he deliver in the league.

But that's not why we signed him for €90m in the first place.

I hope Higuaín does start to perform in CL knock-out stage.

Otherwise, the most expensive player in Serie A history be regarded as a flop given to the massive expectations.

This is always a hilarious line. Higuain wasn't signed for 4-7 games. He was signed for 40+.
Not really hilarious...

These 4-7 games in UCL knock-out stage are far more important than a random league game vs. Chievo, Bologna and such.

Nothing more than fair to suggest that Higuaín must deliver consistently in UCL knock-out stage.

It's the least thing you can expect from a so called WC striker who's bought for €90m and is Serie A's highest earner.

Higuain was never going to justify his 90m price tag + 7.5m salary, he's simply not that good, it was clear from day one that we overpaid. The best thing that came from it is that Napoli dropped a lot of points when Milik tore his ACL, otherwise it would've been a lot closer at the end of last season had Higuain been at Napoli and not Juventus.

By the way, I think Bonucci is now the Serie A highest earning player.

Nah man, none of them want to listen to any of that, as long as he keeps scoring vs sassuolo benevento and crotone, but flops as usual in big games in europe, his fanboys will keep defending him

You are immensely delusional, he was signed to perform in CL matches and bring us to the next level, something he can't do. Borriello and Matri can score vs chievo, benevento and crotone just like higuain, but can he score in finals or big CL KO games when it matters? No. And that's the problem with him. Look at Morata, he is the perfect player for the way we play, AND he can score in Europe, and is also not a 30 year old aging overweight flop

Read those 2 lines you wrote.

Just for a quick reference to help you out, Higuain has 98 goals in Serie A in 149 games. Borriello has 96 goals in 330 games. Matri has 88 goals in 302 games.
