I never said Sturaro is great player or something, he simply gives his 100% even if his 100% is very limited , and not enough to start for Juve .

What i hate is when people use him to blame our losses, Sturaro it's just backup player nothing more , it's wrong to wait from him to do more ,while Higuain is our star , and he almost never delivers on the big stage!

:agree: However, his disappearing acts in the CL are nothing new. He's been a non factor in this competition since his Madrid days. :sigh:

Basically everyone wants Cavani, but back when we were linked with Cavani he was "past his prime" and not good enough for us. Tuz in rare form lately I see.

I always wanted Cavani, still do and still think he would be better than Higgy for us. Hope Mbappe, ADM and Draxler bench him so he wants out, it's still not too late :tuttosport:

Its just beyond my understanding how this "mental block" or whatever tha fook you want to call it has limited him as a player.

He has fantastic finishing in the league. Absolutely deadly at times. But as soon as we have an important match, he just seems so tame in comparison. Its not just the level of Serie A, because his whole performance drops: work rate, passion, willingness to press, positioning. Its excactly the same for his National team.

I think its one of the weirdest/puzzling phenomenom i have ever seen in football and i have been following him since his young days as a River fan.

When he came up, he was proclaimed as one of the brightest talents of Argentinian football and certainly one of the best strikers in South America.

We need to break this guy's mental pattern in big games. Hire a team of psychologists and find out what the hell is wrong with him. Im not kidding.

So frustrated seeing him bottle these big games, time after time, both as an Argentinian and a Juve fan.

SOS for Higuain: In the Champions League he’s never scored against the big European teams

Juve, Higuain absent in the big games
Allegri shakes things up: He needs to be more relaxed
Doubts over the international dimension of Pipita
Meanwhile, Dybala prepares a relaunch after his disappointment

Higuain, an ace to be rediscovered
Wake up, hitman!
The Argentine has lost his cool and determination
Allegri gives him a prod: Juve’s Champions League turnaround is tied to relaunching the striker
However, the Coach must work on the minds of all the players, who seem to collapse at the first sign of difficulty

Cavani has flopped on big games as well, I don't get what's wrong with Higuaín, but Cavani is not the solution either. Would love to have Moratta back, he turns up for most of the big games I seen him play in the CL.

Honestly think it's a lost cause. He's done it time and time again for Argentina. Some players just aren't made to take the next step. He's had plenty of chance already.

You know what's funny? Those mediocre players who are utter shit but had the right performances at the right moment and became immortalized because of that. While you have talented ones like this guy who can't break the wall keeping them from going even further as a player. I'm not a superstition man at all but I do think luck plays a part here and this guy has none when it really matters.

I was against us getting him, and for that much and I still am.

Eder the Portuguese is a legend because of one goal. Same with Gotze....Higuain has cemented his legacy too.

Tevez, obviously. Higuain might be better when it comes purely to being a Fox in the box, but as an overall player Carlitos is ahead of him in many aspects. Carlitos in his prime would be a beast both offensively / defensively and lifted the whole team spirit with his passion. Higuain does not have the same charisma and work-rate, would pick tevez 10 out of 10 times.

Yeah, i guess its one of those big paradoxes.

Im not sure i agree about it being about luck, but if it is he is indeed stripped of it

Is this really a question? Go watch Tevez in 2015 again your answer is there.
I know iv said 1000x on this forum that Tevez is a far superior player to Higuain. Just wanted to see from an Argentinian perspective.

Tevez is only second to Pirlo 2011-12 for Juve in the 2010's

Pretty much same way I see it

Ridiculous that there is a 70 mil difference in the amount we payed for them

Though I do still like Higgy just wish he would lose weight and try a lil harder on the pitch.

You mean the Mandzukic who was starter CF for 2 seasons prior and couldn't score for fvck all? Struggled to get to double figures. Chiellini was more deadly scorer at some parts of the season FFS.

Best thing that happend to Mandzukic and us is him being turned into winger, because if he was only considered as CF we would defenitely sold him this summer most likely. He lost his consistent scoring instinct in the box for Croatia and has.

Common man different systems. Mandzukic was there to work his ass off as always and create space for Dybala. He is definitely not as great as a goal scorer as Higuain, however the team as a whole would perform better with Mandzu in his place. Though he would probably get 15 goals or less the trade off would be better performances from Dybala, Douglas, and Berna. Also important to add that Mandzu is a much greater threat in the air.

So its a joke if higuain draws multiple markers and creates space but when mandzukic does hes better fit than higuain because thats all we expect him to do? Tuz logic

Mandzukic isnt half the attacker Gonzalo is, dont take anyone who says him as reason to bench Gonzalo or as the better alternative seriously.

While I wouldnt bench Higuain I can't stand there and watch you declare a guy who scored in every CL final he played in as not half as good as a player who couldnt score or assist in 4 big stage finals in a row
