Honestly, is he just judged on how many goals he scored?
His link-up play was superb today. He played a huge part in Dybala's first, played a magnificent one touch through ball to Dybala while dragging a defender away to put him 1 v 1 in the first half where Perin made a great double save, he tracked back brilliantly, he took the ball from deep and carried it, he held up well and got an assist. He had a few slack passes late on but he looked tired after putting a lot of work in.
He had a bad shot early in the first half, and came close to scoring in the second with a good effort.
If people are going to criticise him for only scoring goals and not making chances, then they should praise him when he does the opposite. He was a big part in us winning today.

he will. it's not even september, he'll find his goal scoring boots soon enough.
btw i do think he did very well against genoa, he dived into duels and won the majority, he tracked back a lot, his forward passing was very good, not to mention his assist before the 4th goal (though it was mainly on dybala to finish it off). dybala was the undisputed man of the match, mandzukic was a clear second for me, and higgy was probably our 3rd best player.
