lol you're quoting Sean Connery whose quote has zero to do with football.

Fact is, he has been providing assists for others so he still contributed but for goal scoring opportunities he isn't the kind of striker to take on players. He needs service

The guy scored bags of goals this year. Lol stop the blame game on him already

Stop with this bull$hit excuses ffs, he has a loser mentality when it comes to the real deal. As an Argentinian and a Juve fan i have now witnessed so many finals with him in it and its allways the same story: "no service, difficult game" bla bla bla.

Get real, the guy has serious limitations. tired of this $hi#

you can be all mad you want... but the truth is that we are not an attacking team. we do not create chances like we should and you cant expect him to bail us every game we do not create.

judge him after he has 3 world beaters behind him and feeding him with balls.

i dont know if you remember,... but early in the season he was bailing us with practically no service from our midfield.... it was embarrasing.

i repeat...as long as we insist grinding games and providing no servie to our attackers...we cannot judge him fully

Still can't understand why him, Boni and the other veterans looked defeated with 45 mins left. Hig always fighting like crazy even we are up 3-0 against Crotone. The whole fucking season I enjoyed the fight he gave to everyone and why would these players stop now? Was that really a pressure that they couldnt handle? I blame not only him, but all emotional leaders that were too scared to lead this team.
No wonder Mandzu was so angry after match clearly complaing to teammates about everything as he felt he was the only one doing all he could do.

Yeah man. Even if you play like crap or simply have a bad day, at least show millions of fans who has got your back that you freaking care and leave the last drop of your sweat out there on the pitch. Nobody will say a word then. Fucking finals-phobia.

I would like to hear opinion from some normal guy who also support him at national team about him. Someone who knows him well and long time as I Mandzukic.

Its funny how people are single handling Higuain as the bottler.

You could make case for some of the italians as well.

Chiellini and Bonucci have played 2 CL finals and Euro 12 final and lost.

Seem to be as much of bottlers.

Buffon has yet to win in 3 CL finals. Lost euro 12 final. If there wouldnt be that 2006 WC win he would be considered a total final bottler.

Exactly. And in the opening minutes of the 2nd half, the couple of times we managed to bring the ball forward to him, he instantly lost it so they were able to put extra pressure on our defense

Yup, looks like it
imo Dybala and Dani Alves were more guilty of that than Higuain......

I agree but he can be judged for not pressuring Madrid's backline as much as he should have and being pretty static throughout the game.

Dybala yes, he had trouble with his 1st touch as if he was Matri on a bad day. Dani Alves had much less fault in that imo

Sean knows his stuff

The main reason he's called a choker is because he's missed huge chances in multiple of these lost finals.
Excactly. but people here still believe, for some reason, that he is a world class, world beater. He is not. He is a decent striker but very limited. Thats it.

When it comes to beating Crotone or a naive Monaco side, it will work, but not against the best.

If Dybala wasnt so gosh darn poor with the ball yesterday imo we could have made out of that opening 15 minutes of the second half alive. Him, Dani, and Khedira are the ones in charge of bringing the ball out of defense and all three utterly failed. This is why I won't place too much blame on the D or Buffon as any defense will eventually concede after 15 mins of non stop attack from Madrid.

You are avoiding the main issue here with deflections. He is not the striker to take us to glory. simple as. You can row your boat as far as you want, he will never lift anything with juve other than domestic titles. Be it the system or whatever you want to call it.

the defense was under attack constantly, agreed. my point was that the few times we managed to bring the ball forward (before losing it or Real fouling) Higuain lost it by trying to attack right away instead of waiting for support. in fact, the 2 possessions we had before conceding the 1st goal in the 2nd half was both after a Higuain lost ball iirc, and them catching us in transition

So what, im not normal? a great deal of my countrymen share the same view about him. They are fed up.

But he always does well at a club level at medium sized games, so people that defend him will always find a way to paper over the cracks.

"but remember, he scored the winner that time against Sampdoria or something"

Bull$hit.

Yeah I think I remember that happening a couple times too. But to be fair to Higuain he just isnt that kind of player and the rest of the team left him isolated for far too long. Against a team with a pussy midfield and D like Barca maybe you could expect him to hold it up but not vs Casemiero, Ramos, and Varane.
