I dunno guys, I thought he was pretty bad in both legs to be honest...
:agree:

He certainly was. His job is to score goals. He had a half-dozen good chances, the ones in the first leg absolutely cracking chances, and he didn't score a single goal. Incredibly poor.

He needs to get his CL mindset sorted if were are to be that unbeatable side we have the potential to be. If he could get his finishing to the level it is in Serie A and COppa (even against better teams like Napoli and Roma, and against us the last few years), we would be unstoppable right now.

I don't care if he doesnt score as long as we win games!
To be frank, he was bad in the first half, but second half, he was good in terms of hold-up and distribution. His physical presence was good overall.
Can't really fault him for not scoring yesterday. The chances were very few as due to our game plan and they were pretty difficult. Even Khedira had an easier chance to score.

Look at it this way, haters. Higuain contributed massively in defense for his team compared to the BARCA MSN over the two legs.

We spent 90mil on a player who has 2 goals in 24 knockout cl games LMAO certified big game bottler, if we needed a striker that could score against pescara and crotone, we could of just got quagliarella back

I can't believe the season is almost over and a professional player playing for a top club has yet to lose those excessive kilos. That's the second most wtf fact about Higuain after the money we paid for him. He's a phenomenal player but he really needs to lose weight.
Listen sis.plsyerd like Ronaldo, Figo, rooney, gattuso, are proof you can be overwight and still be a top performer.

Not saying higgy is on their level. But his weight is not what holds him back.

In fact it's a non issue. Because his athleticism is there to see when striking a ball

As long as we're winning and he is putting in a good shift and assisting his team mates, I don't care about his knockout record. Thankfully we don't solely rely on him to score goals as that would have been a different matter.

Still hoping he eventually gets to break his duck though and I have a feeling it will happen soon.

Mixed game for him, he didnt get much service and I dont expect any striker to score with the chances he got tonight, but he should've done better at times with keeping the ball to give our defense a little break. Still, some of his link up play was very good and should've ended in goals if his teammates did better.

He should be doing better though and I hope he improves because it doesnt look good if youre overweight and struggling

Oh, I'll take it too. The problem is whether we can win the CL with Higuain going goalless for the entire knockouts. It's possible, but far less likely than if he starts scoring like the top striker he is.

People says that higgy has football IQ and sturaro doesn't. But Sturaro's goal avg in UCL is higher than higgy. So what's football IQ?
Fuck football IQ. I love them both and we just have to keep winning!

We don't create chances for him to score so it's no surprise he is not scoring.

Our attack was rubbish last night with not one single clear cut chance created.

The 3 goals we scored in the first leg were all from individual brilliance.

He will never score as long as we are not playing to his strengths and setting him up.

Love his link up play. He holds the ball well and uses his big ass as a shield. Watching players bounce off of that rump always makes me laugh.

Higuain had a half-dozen good-to-fantastic chances over the two legs. None of our goals were individual brilliance alone in the first leg, they were all build-up and passing goals with brilliant finishes. Even the Chiellini header was from a fantastic delivery.

FFS, our attack was rubbish? our finishing was rubbish but we created several excellent chances last night.

Ronaldo was the best player to ever step on a football field when he was in top shape before his injury.

His fatter, slower, less agile version was still hands down the best forward at that time, but it was not even close to what he used to be

You're right that some players can still be top performers, but il fenomeno wasent one of them, relatively speaking

We had better chances than barcelona. They suffered on the scorching speed of execution that was required, we suffered cause we werent sharp enough due to the exceptional hard work by everyone

I remember Llorente trying that but falling over each time

Dybalas goals were moments of individual brilliance

Chiellini scored from a corner

Barca had much much better chances than us to score over both legs.

The attack has to improve as it's not everyday we will score from corners and Dybalas genius.

Maybe I missed Higuains chances but i honestly don't remember us creating anything concrete last night.
