I thought he was really good in both legs. He's more than just goals, brilliant work rate and hold-up play on show again today. Just lacking the goals in knock-out games but I'm sure he just doesn't want to waste them when we don't need them :D

Can't believe some people are still against him after what he has shown this season. Will arguably be our player of the season and is well on his way to becoming one of the best goal scorers in Juve for a very long time.

His hold up play first half tonight was dire. There was a spell where he lost control of the ball 4 times in a row when he only had to take a touch and lay it off, the kind of basics he is normally so good at. Definitely got a lot better second half but he annoyed me a lot in the first, off the top of my head he must have lost possession under normal pressure a good 7-8 times.

Well you are wrong because he was dispossessed only two times. Barca press was always going to make it hard for him at times but he still fairly regularly found the right touch and pass. His link-up play played a big part in giving us good chances in attacking Barca.

We signed a dud, for 90 million we could have gotten two strikers who could score in the CL as well as the Serie A

You're a 90 million euro striker playing for the strongest team in the serie and are the lone striker playing pretty much every game, of course you get goals against serie a opposition, but throw him in Europe and his record speaks for itself

Someone tell me his goal tally in the CL stages?

I'd like to see what the stat sites consider a dispossession (ball under complete control?), because I know it was several times in a row the ball went to him and came straight back, I commented on it to my brother after the third time and it didn't stop there. He wasn't relieving pressure in that spell.

To be fair he's doing other work that you don't always see by modern strikers, but obviously in the first leg in particular he has to do a lot better with his chances. He's just providing ammunition for people to have a go when he doesn't score a goal from those two games.

I can't believe the season is almost over and a professional player playing for a top club has yet to lose those excessive kilos. That's the second most wtf fact about Higuain after the money we paid for him. He's a phenomenal player but he really needs to lose weight.

Imagine him at the start of next season. All that time during summer... no training :)

I wont say i'm disappointed but I did insult him couple of times pretty bad :D, he has to think fast and let his instincts on, he think too much sometimes.

I actually liked his performance today. Team player!!

One thing i dont like is that i seems that He sometimes have that Napoli mentalitet!

"I havent touched the Ball i long time, now i Will do something spectacular. And then looses the Ball in critical areas - hes lucky hes playing with chielini and bonucci and not albiol.

When he keeps it simple He is wq!

Great in the league, and even when scoreless he still relieves pressure on the defence sometimes with his hold up play and intelligence. But fuck me he badly needs a CL goal to get past whatever is holding him back.

I think he'll come good in the Semi finals. If not, as long as we win idgaf but he's gotta get that goal mang.

Honestly think he just needs a big CL goal (or for Argentina) and he'll be fine.

Clearly if he has time to think in a big game he has some sort of mental block, but we are Juve, we will turn him into a killer.

That said, I don't think any of his chances were easy tonight, nothing on the level of his World Cup of Copa America misses.

There were a couple of times though where we were on the break and in Serie A you'd expect him to be darting into the box for a finish and he seemed to hang back. To me that seems like he was slightly nervous.

He just needs a goal or two in the semi, and then he'll score the winner for us in the final.

This. His ball control on first half was very bad and added undeeded pressure to our team.

No, he is right. He was not to standards today.

The good thing about Higuain is that even when he is not up to his usual level...he still helps with some runs and passes, because he is that good.
