Firstly, please quote my posts next time if you want me to reply, else I don't get notifications and I'll reply only accidentally.

Secondly, I know that Sassuolo is a good team, but the defensive work wasn't very good today. And they were lucky Consigli was in a good day. In the second goal, 3 players are around Higgy and none does something to intercept the ball or prevent him from shooting. And in the third one, 3 players where there and none even jumped to get the header from Pjanic. That's not the kind of defending we bought Higuain to score against.

Higuain has to do more in the biggest stage to earn the right to be called the best finisher in the game. Else, he will be just a striker who scores a lot vs smaller opponents. I still remember his miss some years ago when Real went out vs Lyon, or his miss in the final with Argentina, or even the miss vs us last year. Yes, a very good Bonucci action, but still most of the times when the ball is hot, he's almost there, but not .. exactly there.

The point I wanted to make in my previous post, and I might have failed, is that a key component for a player called the best of the world is character. Nerves of still and calmness when it matters. As I mentioned before, Higgy is a much more complete player than Treza. Better technically. Similar levels of anticipation and technique when striking a ball. But, while Treza was average as an athlete, not very strong or quick, his was mentally very strong, which allowed him to always do the job when it mattered. This is a huge question mark for Higgy and so far he has often failed. I really hope he will be able to overcome this, cause as I mentioned above, he has all the needed athletic and technical characteristics. But until he proves that he is mentally strong when it matters, I can't put him in the best of the world category.

Also, I am sitting down already.

I think I didn't make the point clearly enough before. Have a look above. While Higgy is a more complete and technically sound player, he hasn't proved yet that he is as mentally strong as Treza was.

3 goals in like less than 100 minutes of match action ?

My God those finishes ffs. We haven't had such a clinical striker since a long long time.

Guy could've scored a poker if he received a bit more accurate passes.

Let's chill down a bit guys. I love the guy. He was awesome today, but let's not exaggerate. It was only Sassuolo and the defending wasn't the best around.

We all knew that the guy can score a ton of goals vs weaker teams. The question is, can he do it vs the bigger boys? Or he will choke again as he has done in the past?

And let's not compare him with Treza yet. Treza got in when the ball was hot and did the job. He was playing in a Juve creating far less chances than now and he would always score. He just needed 1 or 2 chances, no more. He was a goal guarantee. The closest a player has ever been to a guarantee. When I get in this argument, people often mention Van Nistelrooy or Inzaghi. And my face gets this expression of, pffff, please. Treza did better with fewer opportunities and based on almost no athletic advantages. Pure intelligence, anticipation and most of all character. His calmness and nerves of steel were out of this world.

I remember in the 2004/2005 CL. Knockout stages vs Real. Capello was starting Del and Ibra back then. We needed a goal, Treza got in. I fucking knew it. A perfectly executed bicycle kick. Next round vs Liverpool in Turin. We needed just one goal to go through. I read previously in the day that Treza wasn't going to make it after all cause he was injured. At that point I fucking knew it we were going out. Del and Ibra missed a ton of opportunities and I spent the whole game wishing for Treza to be there.

So let's not exaggerate yet. Fatty is a good and complete player. But as a striker he has some work to do to be considered the best. Hope he finally does it with us, cause from an intelligence/athletic perspective he has what it takes.
I love when people makes long posts completely missing the point and exaggerate themselves.

Yes.

Or no. You simply misread what people write.
I don't think I did. But well, I might be wrong.

I just meant to say that yesterday's game didn't add anything to my already existing knowledge about Higgy. I knew he would score a lot against small teams. But I don't think it's right naming him the best in the world of comparing him to Treza after that game.

no seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee (C) no party

 the scream just before the strike....u know its a golazo when u hear that kind of scream at that particular moment

man i dont know where manu's 110mil is but its easy to see where our 90mil ended up...

his clinical finishing and just the difficulty rating of alot of his goals can psychologically mess up opposing teams
