He has been largely irrelevant this season, with the exception being that game vs Olympiakos in the CL (quite ironic).

I think he needs time on the bench. Higuain is a solid and dependable striker, when in form, but he isn't someone we should build our team/formation around. He's not that good, regardless of how much we paid for him.

Ok Higuain's playing like embarrassing shit right now but this post is hilarious

'Title was ours' ? We barely won it with his goals, who was our 2nd top scorer? Take away Higuains goals last season and we stop at 5 in a row.

As for 'signing Higuain to win CL' a team that is hell bent on winning the CL does not spend as pathetic sums as we have done in the last 2 summers. We got Higuain because we seen a striker upgrade for less money than Pogba's sale so we brought in a name to appease the fans and also made a small profit.

Higuain this season deserves to be shat on, pathetic stuff. Higuain last season won us the league.
bullshit, Higuain's transfer and wages are Pogba+Pereyra combined and a little extra

It was Pogba out, Higuain in and you know it. Nobody gives a rats ass about Pereyra, stop plucking random names to pad the transfer stats lol. Pogbas wage would've been what Higuain is making now had he stayed too. Pogba was unaffordable in the long run to a club with our lack of spending power. We cashed in on him, used his transfer money to get Higuain and gave Higuain a wage that a 90M euro player commands.

Unless your maths is shit, it's obvious that medium and especially long term, owning Higuain is a hell of a lot cheaper than owning Pogba. When one is retired/too shit to play for us the other will be making 20M/season in his prime.

thats not how it works though. replace Higuain with someone else and those games turn out entirely different than they did. remove Higuan from the team and we dont build the team around him, but Dybala, or someone else we would have likely bought. Allegri and the players proved they had what it takes to win for years without Higuain, even in that season we were 12 pts behind around November, so there is good reason to believe we would have done it again, with or without him
Except Higuain scored more goals on his own in the league than most of our strike partnerships have in years lol. Sure, theoretically having bought a different player we could have won the league. Theoretically. But in reality, you take away Higuain last season, add a striker who scores the typical 10-15 Serie A goals we're accustomed to and let's say, added another midfielder. We could also just as easily have lost the league.

That goes both ways: long term Pogba has an actual value, Higuain doesn't.
Assuming we're talking about keeping the players here and not cashing in on re-sale value, which is what this is about. Pogba has the merchandising/star factor but that doesn't remotely offset the cost of keeping him throughout his career.

Higuain is a much, much cheaper option than Pogba if you're actually looking to maintain your Starting XI.

And that boils down to what fucks me off about our board, as we get better, they get cheaper.

Higuain doesnt score shit in the league, but scores a critical goal in allready the second cl game : OMFG FUCKING SHIT THIS GUY, DOESNT SCORE ENOUGH GOALS IN THE LEAGUE

We got 78m for Pogba and paid 90m for Higuain, so no, it was not Pogba out and Higuain in. You said that we sold Pogba and used the money for Higuain and even made a profit along the way, but it's not true, we did not get 100m+ for Pogba.

You're generalizing, you feeling like a retarded assfagget doesn't mean everyone on this forum is.

If you actually watched the games you'd see why people are upset with Higuain this year or where upset with Higuain in CL last year, the guy simply isn't performing like a top top striker this season or last year in the CL knockouts.

With the way he's going Higuain will be out of our starting 11 sometime around his 3rd, max 4th season here, so we're not going to maintain that Starting XI anyways.

I don't understand why you even bother. Resorting to name calling other members and such incessant petulance is the hallmark of a poster who has no argument; he just needs to flex his muscle and argue for the sake of it.

it's fun. the guy couldn't admit he's wrong about something if the whole humanity depended on it, argues like he's the second coming of King Solomon and, obviously, he ends up on the wrong side of the argument really often, but keeps trying to convince everyone they're stupid :D

Something about an Internet forum that brings the worst out of people

If we were all sitting around a coffee table chatting it would be laughing and joking. Not here though. Nope. The Marco Materazzi’s of the Internet world come out.

I'd actually love to have a beer with you, Serge, JCk, Klin, Dru, and Kyle. We can also add Wittl, Daidevil, Post Ironic, and possibly even Zizinho. :p

I've already met X and Raz, and they were both really cool to hang out with.

It probably brings the true personality out of that person.

And you can also be allowed to be retarded without being penalized or harmed for it. It's a good privelage to have for someone who's desperate to insult or abuse.

I mean you can openly call a Muslim a jihadi terrorist, a Chinese , a dog eating chink, or an Indian, a smelly curry muncher and so on and get away with it.

That's actually true, in Swedish online community I was member of in late teens, we met up, and a guy that was the equivalent of Zach, Rus and Turk rolled into one online turned out to be the sweetest pussy cat you ever seen in person. Shits funny like that, people turn into their shells in person.

that doesent matter really. under Conte and Allegri we were always a team that spreads the goals around several players very well. Higuain is the type of player that needs to have the team built around him and working to get him chances. take him away and we prepare and approach those games entirely different, so obviously its not as simple as taking away his goals and looking at the outcome then

This is all so funny. Higuain is a natural goal scorer. We're obviously not getting the best out of him. We bought WINGERS to add that extra fire power. So far I've yet to see any decent wing action. So it's ALLLLL Gonzalo's fault. Hardly. It's too easy to blame someone that looks fat when things don't go according to plan.
