Everyone was shit in the 2nd half. They raped us and could have scored more. So why putting all the blame on Higuain when defence cracked and midfiled got owned big time?
I don't think anyone is saying Higuain cost us the game, obviously not, there are more contributing factors here.

But many, including myself, are disappointed that our most expensive signing ever, brought here to make a difference in CL, did fuck all for whole of 2nd half in a CL final. The worth of his signing was to be judged by his CL campaign, we were winning Serie A without him too. While he did ok till the final, that 2nd half makes me wish we never signed him, spent the 90m on a midfielder and still played Mandžukič-Dybala upfront.

that's a good point, but it's fucking tiring and frustrating to see that our strikers (dybala included) can't even handle the ball, and can't keep the ball for more than a split second. also, neither higuain and dybala were tracking back, none of them were useful in the buildup, and before the first goal, it was dybala and alves who tackled each other at the edge of the madrid box, so basically they started the whole counter. our attackers were just awful for the whole match, save for mandzukic. we should have scored 2 before the break, and that's not on the defenders. and yes, the whole team collapsed after the 2nd (unlucky, deflected) goal.

as for higuain himself, he has a record of 9 cup finals, 0 goals. (i haven't checked it, i've heard the local speaker saying it.) that's simply inacceptable for a world class striker.

The ball didn't pass the half way line in that second half. Higuain just needs to lose weight and see a psychiatrist to make him score more in the CL.

Seriously bashing Higuain is unheard of. The guys banged in over 30 this season has he not in all comp. But because we win no CL the claws come out. Oh VERGOGNATI!!!!!

What annoyed me the most that he didn't press at all. More than one time he was just walkin as the ball passed right by him.
Because he was wasted. He's pressing a lot in every match, but in the most important match he wasn't doing it. It may sound like an excuse, and Allegri used it already, but for all the good things the formation change brought us, we paid for it dearly in the last match. Except for the defenders, we overused everyone else. We had no subs for Mandzukic, Higuain and Dybala. After Pjaca's injury, we had to play these guys match after match. The advantage we had in serie A was futile - we couldn't rest our starters because we had noone to replace them with. We burnt them. It's no coincidence that Higuain wasn't the same in the last 2 months of the season.
I expect him to score close to 40 next year.

I remember him scoring a brace when Napoli beat us in the Supercoppa.

Actually we allready saw it against Roma and the final games of the season.

Seems like we completely ran out of steam, grabbed outselves togheter for the first half, and than just completely fumbled.

Which suddenly revealed how incredibly poor Khedira is.

based on transfermarkt:

- domestic super cups: 7 matches, 4 goals (2 goals vs us, 1-1 goal in 2 spanish super cups)
- spanish cup: 0 goals in 2 finals (vs barcelona and atleti)
- italian cup: 0/2 (vs lazio and fiorentina)
- cl final: 0/1 (vs real)
- copa américa: 0/2 (both vs chile)
- world cup: 0/1 (vs germany)

so without supercoppa games, it's 0 goals in 8 finals, with supercoppa, it's 4 goals in 15 matches. the local speaker probably didn't consider supercoppa games were worth checking. anyway, higuain was poor for the whole final for us, just like dybala or alves. i expected them to do much better than that.

Ill repet it again until people get it in their skull:

Higuain, yes he made some weird runs on the final... but outside of that, he never received proper service. Im sure that if he was supplied the way cristiano did..he would have scored at least 1.

Thats the difference in why we lost.

That is not that simple. You have service or not. You also must somehow deserve and earn that service if you are top class. Nothing is more easy then find excuse.

Look at how many chances El Pipita has put away this season that has fallen to him. Yes he's missed a few too but his finishing is sublime. The example I usually put down is if it were say Mandzukic how many would go over the bar in the same position etc...etc.
Stop turning into whiney little bitches. We asked for a 20goal a season striker and have been given one. But no, that's still not enough. :sergio:

We actually asked for something more then national trophies and players who can help to get it.

But this is a team effort. I think few players can carry a team when the enemy is dominating us that bad. Not even players like del piero could.

What a complete troll you have become. Go watch some hentai.
I think the troll is you. quoting me with funny remarks in every thread to make others make fun of it, just to mask your rage. Its easy to see.

See, i have many years in this forum, and im very serious when i post. From some years you and a select few have raised a campaign to make me see as a some kind of troll poster ala Cronios (im not), just because you cant cope with what i say and try to diminish my arguments with the "troll twist" for the masses to eat it. It will not work.

You are too emotional this days. Go take a break from the forums.

I agree on most of what you said Alen, but i expect a little more effort for a final of the champions league, expect players to show more heart and desire. Di livio said the same thing about him by the way.
