No but as i've been saying, Higuain signing is softening the blow. From my POV Juventus has respected Pogba's decision to leave and we're now working to get the best sum possible. This deal will be done in a matter of weeks. I think the stalling is due to Raiola's commission fee. We want 120M net.
I think so too. Most probably both deals will be done soon unfortunately.

Higuain scored lots of goals took them single handedly to 2nd place and got them a whopping 90M at the age of 29 and they act like he is a disgusting human being and put shit with the name Higuain and etc...
Those are some retarded fans! They should hail and sing his name instead!!!
He went to a team that is able to win the CL with more money and his image rights back! What do they want?!
The second retarded thing is that they call us their rivals! maybe in the Maradonna days... right now we have no rivals and like Capello said catching Juve was nearly impossible even before Higuain signed here!

Also is it time to make a player thread or is it too soon?

I think we can get 4-5 WC seasons out of Higuain to be honest. Trez was a machine till he was what, 33-34? Same for Gonzalo too. These guys rely on instinct, not speed or tangible attributes that necessarily decrease, proportionate to age.

One of the things I love about Higuain, and if you watch him, it is very evident.

His positional awareness in the box and reaction time to shooting on goal once receiving the ball is incredible. He KNOWS where he wants to shoot it well before he gets the ball. No wasted motion, no indecisiveness.

35 minimum from market pool (perhaps even more if another italian team crashes out early)

+

Participation: 12 million
Advancing from group stage: 5-7 million
Round of 16: 5.5 million
Quarter finals: 6 million
Semi finals: 7 million

Reaching the final gives 10 million more (or 15 million more if you win it).

Don't see how that's pushing it.

First of all, even without Higuain, no semif-final in the next couple of years would be disappointing. Second, even if Higuain singlehandedly takes us to the semi-final from the RO16, the difference in prize money and tv money comes nowhere near the 90m fee, as your own calculations show.

Indeed. And another thing that has me fapping like crazy; he is equally good with both feet. Looks to have a slight preference for using his left foot, but there are so many examples of him scoring with his right as well, even with volleys and with the outside of his foot. Incredible.

You have a good point there. You're definitively right. Robben was a huge chocker before 13, both for us and for the Netherlands (I was so sad that he missed out on the WC on those one-on-ones with Casillas). Who's to say Higuaín won't take the same road Robben took? He became a true killer after our "Final at Home", seems the defeats only made him stronger. If Juve keeps Pogba, I'd say you definitively have a squad equal to ours, Barca's and Madrid's, and way way waayyyyy better than anyone elses.

i honestly dont fear Real at all. I rank Atleti and even Dortmund from last season ahead of them.....

Doesnt have to be 90 million. Just recuperating most of it would be enough to make the transfer "worth it", in my opinion.

:agree: Diego Milito and Julio Cruz were still scoring for Merda at the age of 34 so can't see know reason why Higuain won't be doing the same.

Napoli fans: 'Higuain doesn't want love'
By Football Italia staff

Napoli stadium announcer Decibel Bellini wrote a farewell to Gonzalo Higuain, comparing him to a girl “who doesn’t want to be loved.”

The striker is due to complete his €90m transfer to arch rivals Juventus tomorrow and supporters have not taken the news well.

Some tore up his photographs, set fire to his shirts or shoved the jerseys down the toilet, while today a giant poster at Napoli’s training camp has had Higuain’s face cut out.

Now Decibel Bellini, a club legend for his stadium announcements at the San Paolo, has taken to Instagram and Twitter to express his feelings on the matter.

“When I was a young lad, I often fell in love with the most beautiful girls in the school. I was short and not that handsome, so in the end, despite my love letters and offers to carry their backpacks for them, I didn’t get anywhere.

“Today I have changed and fallen in love with Vale, who loves me back, and now we have almost two children (I say almost because little Lorenzo won’t arrive until September).

“When I fell in love and that sentiment was not reciprocated, did I feel hurt? Yes. When the girl I loved ignored me, did I tell everyone that I was never interested in her anyway? That too.

“Why am I telling you this: because at times we fall in love (I was the first to do so) with someone or something that, quite simply, doesn’t want to be loved.

“Maybe a nice evening together or a couple of seasons, but no love. Give and receive, they call them professionals.

“I cannot deny that I celebrated, almost cried, with joy (for example on the day of the record) and certainly cannot deny that what I hear and read doesn’t disappoint me, but I’ve always said it: the strength of Napoli is in the fans.

“We have fallen and got back up many times. In our vocabulary we don’t say 'work’, we say 'struggle.’ We are accustomed to suffering.

“Champions come and go, but the lads in the stands and the shirt, blue like the sky, will be there forever.”
