Didnt Napoli played majority of these game in EL? Not exactly the same as in CL. And even there he chocked, most notably vs Villareal and Dnipro iirc. Considering his CL record the argument that he would significantly improve us in Europe is flawed.
Higuain for napoli in the Cl

4 goals + 2 assists = 6G+A in 407 minutes = 1.32 G+A/game

What was your point again ?

Juventus are not willing to offer more than €40m cash + players to sign Higuain. [TJ]

As I said... We wont be paying his clausule. Its either 60m max or no deal.

depending on who the players are, im in. cant see Napoli accepting it though

just splash 50M towards inter for Icardi, for 4.5M wages. better investment long term than Higuain

exactly. freakin Dnipro ffs
1.32 G+A per game with Napoli in the CL

0.97 G+A per game with napoli in the EL

And both you and DP84 should be fucking ashamed of yourselves for forgetting that Napoli played a glorified b team each time they got kicked out of the EL cause they were focussing on Serie A.

See thats a key difference there. Napoli went full in on that CL campaign, but they never gave it their best in the EL knockouts and they prioritised their final position in serie a

YOU both know this. Why ignore it ? I remember quite well how we were all shitting on them for playing that b team when they got knocked out

chokes in big European games and not worth 94m.
1.32 G+A in CL with Napoli

0.97 G+A in EL with Napoli

Napoli that plays b teams in the knockout stage.

The individual Higuain is worth 60 million. Bigger impact then Cavani when he left even. But because he's the final piece in our team and a crucial position, it doesnt matter that we are overpaying.

For me this Higuain story is very simple: there are 1-2 chances for us to win UCL.
After 1-2 seasons:

- Buffon retires
- Barza retires
- Chiellini gets older, injury, looses quality
- Evra retires
- D. Alves gets older, looses quality
- Marchisio gets older, may loose quality
- Khedira can also be a problem
- Licht gets older, looses quality in case we renew

Why would we bring D. Alves if we won't push for UCL? That's the reason I don;t think we'll sell Pogba.
The dabate Morata vs Higuain is also simple; Morata could and probably will be world class in 3-4 seasons, but Higuain is now, that makes Pipita a better fit for our push in this 1-2 years. We will loose key players and team captains in the next 2-3 years, it's like now or never.

When making a selection of players that would want to come here
Higuain is the best of that selection
And by far and away the most expensive

But he is the best, and the biggest improvement.
Cavani would want to come here, id take him for 60M before taking Higuain at 94M
Icardi would love to come here, would take him too

and both would have lesser wages than 7.5M net

40m + Pereyra and im fine. :D

I'd never splash 50m on Icardi. Id rather give 50m for Barbosa and Pjaca.
we want a CF it seems. Icardi can come here, start alongside Dybala for few seasons, score a bunch of goals and we can still sell him for 30M atleast once he wants out, knowing the cunt he is. maybe even more, depending on the situation we are in

Cavani scored 38 goals in 43 games when he left Napoli. for a worse Napoli team than the current one

2015/2016 : knocked out by villareal

First leg : glorified b team that lost 1-0, Higuain came on as a sub at '67

Second leg : still rested some key players, drew the game after wasting a ton of chances

Seriously what the fuck is this shit

Icardi  :lol

16 goals and 4 assists in 32 games while entirely focussing in serie a. This guy has 0 european pedigree and is unproven and a complete cunt.

and has a price higher then Dybala

Please, fuck Icardi

Cavani played at a better Napoli, and had a significantly inferior final season compared to Higuain. These are the simple facts

7 of those goals were in the EL.

So now EL does becomes important ? Because both of you were quickly do trash it when it appeared Higuain scored 1.05 G+A in europe, a stat in fact inflated by the EL, where Napoli didnt give a shit

- - - Updated - - -

Cavani and Higuain are on a similar level.

Thing is, Cavani has been played out of position, in an inferior league for a couple of seasons now and i highly doubt he'd come here

While Higuain just had the best serie a season ever as a central forward.

That edges out higuain.

Oh, also, Cavani is 29.5 years old, compared to Higuain's 28.5.

Since you were all so bothered with age, thats quite a significant difference, especially since Cavani relies alot on his physique, where as Higuain is currently playing with a borderline pot belly

I don't get how can one prefer Higuain over Cavani, especially given all the choking. Even that aside, Cavani is superior
Higuain just had the greatest season for a forward in the history of serie a , while Cavani has played 3 seasons or sth out of position now

This juventus needs mainly a guy who can score goals, as we got everything else covered, and on pure goalscoring, Higuain is clearly better.

Both are in their very late 20ties. Cavani is a year older and greatly relies on his physicallity, where as Higuain is a year younger and was playing out of shape with a borderline pot belly.

Players like Higuain tend to last rather long, where as Cavani will significantly decay once the physicality decays
