So we want a player plagued by pressure throughout his career, with not so good results, to be the biggest transfer in the history of the club and by quite a margin at that, and put the weight of getting us a title that relies on a lot of things going your way on his shoulders? Sounds like a recipe for disaster

I can't stand Higuain.

But the way I see it buying him shows everyone we have the ambition to win the CL and are just as big as Real or Barca.

Fair point. Although, one could also argue that if WE bought Higuain, we have kept a star in Serie A while Napoli will use that money to bring in stars from other leagues. The Milan clubs now look like they will have some additional backing. The biggest net loser I see from all of this is Roma as they sold Pjanic to only just stay within FFP. Milan clubs can use their chinese acquirers to buy part of the rights of the players they acquire - its a sneaky way to get away with paying higher transfer fees while not compromising FFP rules. Weak pound relative to Euro also helping at the margin.
Your opinion is exactly the same as spaletti's

I like it. Juve keeps the star in serie a, the seller gets cash to import a new one.

Learn to embrace the new order, Napoli

There is no team like juve that manages to keep pressure from individuals.

Watch how Pogba was absolute hotseshot, but could build on his form for the second part of the season. Thats two years running now.

How Morata was months without a goal, but we carries him back

Reports suggest that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis will take a tough line with Juventus: 'Pay the clause now, or no Gonzalo Higuain'.

The ongoing Lega Serie A meeting will bring together a variety of leading figures from the clubs, and the biggest deal to be discussed is the possible sale of the Argentinian superstar.

According to pundit Ciro Venerato, who says his report is confirmed by directors from within the club, De Laurentiis has no intention of negotiating.

The Old Lady's offer of paying cash plus a number of players will not even be considered. The movie mogul is expected to tell Juventus that their only option to take Higuain is to pay the €94m buy-out clause, in full and immediately.

De Laurentiis is expected to join the Lega meeting shortly, while Marotta is already there. Radio Kiss Kiss confirmed that he will be releasing some statements after the summit is over, which should be some time today between the late afternoon and the early evening.

It's going to suck seeing Morata in blue.

With Higuain money, Napoli could substantially strengthen their team overall. Part of Beppe's plan to leave Roma and the Milano clubs further behind, singling out Napoli as our worthy adversary for the scudetto for years to come :beppe:
