This reminds me of when we were signing Krasic from CSKA a few years ago. They made us wait till after the world cup to negotiate, they made us raise our initial offer, Beppe's constant trips to Moscow etc....The deal was never going to be reached in that "meeting" anyway. The only good thing that we have from the aftermath is that great one has started negotiations w/ Madrid. It's not much to go by, but it is a lot more concrete and reputable than some random Colombian sports radio show reporting his fathers saying they would be going to Arsenal.

I believe we can match any offer Arsenal will put forward in terms of a transfer fee within reason, which realistically will be between 22-26 million euros. They are a fiscally well managed, the way a real BIG club should be run, so we can be fairly sure that they won't resort to throwing around big transfeer fees alla Citeh. Much like the Krasic fiasco, this will boil down to the will of the player.

IMO we pose a much more interesting proposal than Arsenal. We are the best team in the peninsula, and are a force to be reckoned with in the continent. We are done with rebuilding. We have a squad deep in talent (barring the attack). We offer the chance to win silverware. Most interesting of all for the player, we are in need of that jewel in the proverbial crown for the strike force, which Higuain can be. If his representatives don't see the allure in that, then to hell with them.

Gazzetta: Real are ready to accept a 3-4 year payment for Higuain, but they are still asking for 30m. Juve's offer is 22m and could be raised to 25.
Tevez is a plan B, however Milan are in talks with Argentinian.

As Marotta said, I don't expect Higuain to be sold until after Real has appointed its new coach. Higuain has said he wants to leave but I guess the new coach (whoever it is) may have a strong view on him and ask for him to stay. Ancelotti is the person rumored to be new Real coach but he is having difficulties leaving PSG apparently.

Juventus and Real Madrid have reached an agreement for Higuain. Real Madrid has agreed for Juventus to pay in 4 installments.
- GdS

The meeting between Juventus and Real Madrid wasn't positive. Juventus will now look at Tevez.
- Sky Italia

:shifty:
Even Cds say Madrid have agreed to our payment method.(And also go on to say deal will be done when new coach is announced for them.lol)

But i think its better to believe Sky Italia(Di Marzio) at this moment :shifty:

for fucks sake just pay the 30 million before someone else gets him
Did you read Marotta's comments yesterday?

I'm sure you believe this is one of those 'excuses' and all the rest, but common sense says the new coach will want to approve or block the sale of a player like Higuain.

That would be ironic if JC Blanc and fat Carlo ended up blocking an early snatch and grab attempt by us.

im going by the 'rumours' saying that they will accept 4 payments but we want to pay 23 and they want 30, if that's true and we miss out then ill be pissed, but the coach blocking thing Is understandable if true

Wouldn't be the first time, but a quick question:

Higuaín said he wanted to leave RM because he didn't felt appreciated. He said that after Mourinho officially had left RM.

This makes me think that the coach wasn't his problem, it's probably the others(?)

How would a new coach change that? His desire to leave isn't linked to Mourinho/coach?

Difficult to know what value there is in what Higuain says. If he really is intent on leaving then he goes.

The difference may well be in his price. If the new coach doesn't want him then he loses some value, as with all players. The move is smoother. If he wants him and Real Madrid say 'the coach wants you, you have to stay' then it would take a bigger offer to tempt them into putting the money to another player.

As someone (I think it was Suns) pointed out earlier, it's not easy to replace someone like Higuain. Obviously Real Madrid can buy players for €60m+, but Higuain has been there seven years and scored a lot of goals whilst being rotated around the team. That's not easy to replace.

I honestly cannot see what ever new coach arriving at Madrid not wanting Higuain. Then what happens?
Madrid is signing a new striker no matter who's the coach they are getting, so one of Benz or Higgy will leave, and Karim being Perez personnal favourite, he's due to stay. Higuain is the odd man out and he knows it.
